Holy shit.
This guy takes a couple of minutes of audio from a security camera anywhere in the US, with no clues from the video whatsoever, and finds the exact spot where it was recorded.
How?
By correlating the Doppler curve sounds from two almost inaudible planes passing by with public ADS-B flight data.

I think this is the #OSINT video of the year.

Ready for #halloween.
Mask made of a piece of palm tree and feathers found in the street.
Venha o punk!
*Punk's answer in the '70s was to start building something parallel without permission. For most of us today that means stop wasting time, energy, and emotions inside the gigantic, vacant '80s malls all social networks have become.
The only reliable way through all of today's bullshit is punk. Move, make shit, and put it out there. Pick up your "three chords" and bang out a song. Ditch the network and find a tribe. Create your own venues and distribute your own zines. We've got to rewire our brains. Yesterday isn't coming back, and we don't need it to.*

Two bits of advice for US voters going into the midterms:
1. If you can, vote early. You will save campaigns one door knock to get out your vote.
2. Make a plan to vote right now. For example, my early voting place is 500 Federal St in Troy and I'm planning to go next Saturday after I visit the farmer's market.
Seeing everyone vibe code their "photoshop killer" or "ableton killer" when free and open source perfectly cromulent alternatives have already existed for years gave me one of several realisations:
The software itself isn't the solution. You need to have a userbase and supportive community around your software/tool to see any level of success. And these one-shot attempts just ain't it.
Heh. I misremembered the date--thought it was today, but looks like it was October 5. On that day, 10 years ago, I posted a link to Mastodon on Hacker News, with the title "Show HN: A new decentralized microblogging platform". That it made it to the front page ended up bringing the first 5,000 users, setting the project on the trajectory it's on today.

Keep your fridges' firmware updated yall... or keep them airgapped.
“Have magic 8 balls gone too far? Steve Newman, CEO of Open8Ball think we are now only a matter of months away from an 8 balls induced doomsday event.”
Passed by a coffee shop, 5 people with laptops open: 4 writing to chatbots (1 w/ Claude Code cli or similar, 3 w/ chat web UI), 1 with a graphics program.
Since this can't be put on second hand markets like #wallapop, I'm giving away 1L of ispopropanol to anyone that wants to pick it up in #Barcelona
