The later ballots in SF seem to be skewing "progressive/socialist" and that means that some of the close-run votes are... becoming rather exciting.

While the rest of the country did the right thing, San Francisco really disappointed me. All of the GrowSF candidates won and mayor Lurie’s ballot proposals passed. Thankfully we passed H & RTM and G went down in flames.

Huzzah, USB-PD works without trouble, as soon as I make an embarrassingly blobby solder bridge from shield to a nearby ground. Also notable if that while Glasgow revC has the same part as me in the schematic and layout, it is definitely not the same physical part. It fits the dimensions but it's a completely different fold of aluminum, with different protrusions in it. Wondering if what I got is simply not a good part. Even with shield=ground, you can see it flickers when you move it around.

Step one appears to be firing Jeffries.

I guess SF will be an outlier, and have to wait for the "AI" bubble apocalypse to wipe out all of its taxes, before we'll see anti-neoliberal reforms.

Hitting refresh on DDR prices https://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory/#Z=65536002&sort=price&b=ddr5 as if the election result would suddenly make a stack $200 and not creeping up on $1,000.

The next obstacle is the Democrat party. Thankfully this is *after* getting them elected, and not as I feared, before. They’re going to start lashing out because they know there’s an existential crisis where the old, centrist guard are going to be cleaned out. The party became a neoliberal party a couple of decades ago, and there’s a threat it might transform into something (very slightly) closer to social democracy.

Expect to see a lot of nonsense and call to incredible inaction.

Oh ffs come on.

TFW you're typing Mississippi into an election dashboard and you're hoping nobody is watching over your shoulder.

Omfg lol Chris Kluwe is (too early to call really) within spitting distance of flipping Orange fucking County. https://votes.decisiondeskhq.com/races/2026-11-03/california-state-house-72-general-election

Need to start thinking of some concise tagline to a movement which promises to primary any Democrat not seeking _consequences_ for fascists.

Democrats can impeach Trump immediately, and in all likelihood from past performance, they probably won't, because reasons. But maybe I'll be surprised.

HOLY SHIT A DEMOCRAT JUST SAID "WORKING CLASS"

HE WENT ON THE NEWS ON THE ACTUAL BBC NEWS ON THE TELLY AND SAID THE WORDS "WORKING CLASS"

i've never seen that happen before, this is BANANAS LADS

The plot of every SF billionaire prop by precinct is saddening: demographic of generational comfort/wealth are voting for billionaire entrenchment, demographics of struggle are voting for change. The billionaires are winning.

Otherwise, every SF Prop which further entrenches systemic, billionaire power, is ahead so far. SF is lost, if it doesn't shift over the night's counting.

Interesting plot of SF Prop G (bulldoze a public park and let in cars). So basically the "yes" votes are a thin strip of people who live _near_ but _not immediately adjacent_ to the park, counter to the prevailing narrative. It's people who don't live next to the park but would like to drive their fucking car through it.

Anyway, will enjoy watering the park with their tears (hopefully, too early for me to say this)

Looks like Musk is going to have to move company HQ again.

Literally taking a big sip of red wine and about to look at the preliminary election results. Wish my couch and carpet luck.
