I think one might've been collected... How many mice can a crow eat in one sitting?

Two expired mice waiting on the crow feeder today. The first went out in the afternoon, and 2 d was trapped overnight and put out early this morning.

The #crows are usually pretty quick about eating them, but they are only around here mid-day.

Sean Devine seems be to holding Knoxdale-Merivale 😃

Allan Hubley losing in Kanata South... so rare to see an incumbent go down... Donna Blackburn shut out in Barrhaven West...

Olivia Chow back in the lead, glad to see it.

Multitasking but I see #Barrhaven councillor Wilson Lo is off to a great start with 80% of the votes on the first few polls in the #Ottawa election.

A francophone posted something where they referred to the good people of Mastodon as "Mastochoux" and I am totally in love with the term.

For the non-francophones, "choux" means "cabbages" (and is a kind of pastry) but it is used as a term of affection, as in "mon petit chouchou." See https://untranslatable.ink/phrases/288/chouchou

Voting for Neil Saravanamuttoo today is a waste. He has little chance of becoming MAYOR. The only serious competitor to Sutcliffe is Jeff Leiper. Leiper can win if you support him. There have been a record number of road fatalities this year in OTTAWA. Jeff has a plan to fix that. #ottawa

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today.

Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.

Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too.

Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.

AS IF I DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH TO WORRY ABOUT

Amazon back at it with the pile driving today. Far away from me, but must be awful at RCMP HQ or the north side of Havenlea.

Never did figure out what the weird booming sounds were yesterday morning.

Dear fedi I'm livid. An acquaintance of mine almost finished college and after doing an *unpaid* six months internship was offered a follow-up contract for less than 500€ a month. If you wonder why European young people are mad that's pretty much why.

I'll be doing anything in my power to make sure he'll never work there so if you have an opening or internship for a young person starting his career let me know.

He'll finish the equivalent of a bachelor in computer science in May next year, has done some six months of hands-on work in security and is one hell of a worker. I can personally vouch for him. He's based in Italy and can do both in-person and remote work, and might be able to relocate to the NL and possibly the UK if need be.

Boosts appreciated.

Finished s2 of "The Gentlemen".

Great fun. Good cast, well made.

Maybe a few too many pauses to take off sunglasses before characters say something important.

d14 laments the long wait for s3, due in late 2027 or 2028. "I'll be out of the house by then!"....😐 😐 😐 😵

The markets don't like Lula's win but the other 99% of the world population would like to thank Brazil for not going full stupid.

Today's challenge.
