CRISP vs. Wolverine Access

Imagine being able to sleep peacefully. Interesting concept, just not for me

feeling good about my “weird vehicles of personal significance” homelab host naming scheme

How do you name your hosts? Pets? Cattle? #SelfHosted #homelab

Meet the newest homelab machine: a ras pi 5 (8 GiB), named for a little Subaru I had once: BRAT!

Building this fun tiny case with dual NVME, coolers, LEDs, and some bells & whistles was a great weekend project. The OLED stats (top left) are even smaller than a postage stamp. This is true miniature scale micro computing, almost feels like diorama building. #homelab #raspberrypi

Nobody will remember:
- Your salary
- Your fancy title
- How ‘busy’ you were
- How stressed you were
- How many hours you worked

People will remember:
- How many files you had
- How well organized your files were
- What your metadata strategy was

today i heard someone say "full fat VMs" #fullfat #homelab

Reflection: my time In the Ruby & Rails open source community, the Wikipedia & Discogs open content communities, and now Blender’s open creative community, has been educational and rewarding: not just in terms of learning how these tools & cultures operate, but in learning how large groups of volunteers coordinate and function on the open internet

Over HALF of blender users surveyed are working DAILY on their 3D models and scenes in Blender. That’s so cool

has it been widely reported that Dropbox's menu bar app no longer works on macOS Tahoe? missing from the bar, from Bartender, and from Ice menu bar managers.

(or is this something specific to my bizarre setup?)

I'm not a dropbox user anymore, but i need to open it from time to time for shares

“You’re right to be skeptical - let me double-check the math”

"You're right to challenge me. Let me verify"

@mbt3d i would value any feedback you have on this 🙏
