I was so sad to learn that one of our favorite haunts, Community Supper Club in Lafayette, has closed permanently after 10 years.

This morning, we went to Ya Ya Orchard to get apples. We have ~9 pounds now. I’ll use 6 pounds tomorrow to make a double batch of applesauce. Last year’s 3-variety blend was the best so far. I also grabbed a mini apple pie that I just had for dessert. So good! They reminded us as we left that they close for the season the week after thanksgiving.

Nothing, NOTHING makes me laugh harder than Trump being pissed off that someone (other than him) in his administration has been perpetrating grift!

Mom, are you getting the treat bag together for training day? May I help?!

I’ve had a very productive day! Doctors appointment (pro-tip: DON’T stab yourself with berry bush spines—doc waved his fingers at me and said, um, gloves, haha). Then got me some chocolate at a fav local place, then grocers, etc. Wheee!

Tonight, hubs was exhausted and the pups missed their walk with him, so…I handed over the bowl of balls. They had an epic session in the backyard and now the pups are pooped!

I’m very worried that British Columbia voters will be stupid enough to vote for the “I’m not gonna raise your taxes ever” BC Conservative Party. Hey, #Canada see how well no tax increases ever has worked out for America! Essentially zero improved services for decades, no federal minimum wage increase in SEVENTEEN YEARS, and a deficit of OVER FORTY TRILLION DOLLARS. Please don’t vote Conservative, Canada!

Haha, I get it! My strategy (that I shared with spouse) was: mark the two or three yes votes first, THEN mark the shitload of no votes. That way, I wouldn’t zen out with “no” marks and mess up my ballot!

Last evening, I attended a Ballots and beers event at VisionQuest Brewery in Boulder. A brewery owner in Denver started this out of concern for all the dark money- and billionaire-backed nefarious propositions put out as “citizen petition” items on the Colorado ballot (hint: most should be a hell-no vote). His efforts have taken off and there are huge crowds getting educated at each event!

Just wow. Read this article on cybersecurity in elections: https://www.propublica.org/article/cisa-election-security-donald-trump

I had to do some digging into old photos today, but I finally found the two Air Force era pics of me that I was looking for. Just sent them and a short bio to the guy who runs our instagram account for the Colorado Democratic Veterans Council. We’ve been featuring leadership but I was out of country for several weeks, so I’m just getting to it today! I also found Dad’s WWII Distinguished Flying Cross and hometown promotion announcement, so that was fun.

If you enjoy a caper and haven’t yet read Richard Osman, start with the Thursday Murder Club series (don’t watch the show, they ruined it). Think guy Richie in book form. THEN read We Solve Murders and its next book, We Chase shadows. I’m just starting this but it is the delightful romp you would expect!

Dang, y’all, did Katie Zacharia really only last like a third of a Scaramucci?! Haha, what a surprise (to no one anywhere).

Yeah, baby! I voted and now I get to wear one of the new BoCo “I Voted” stickers!!

Just completed all my research and voted my Colorado ballot. Fingers crossed for Jack Rosenthal for RTD. I’ve met him several times over the course of this campaign season. He is a whip-smart young man who knows the ins and outs of our public transportation system, is an actual daily user, and will work very hard to ensure a stable, sustainable system for Colorado.

Hello, Boulder!! We are back. What a terrific three-week trip we’ve had. But now, it is time to rest.

I do not believe that they are advertising this as well as they think they are.

It has been a fascinating trip at many EV chargers in America this trip. Depending on the location, we’ve had numerous gas guzzling pickup truck drivers rolling coal on us at charger banks, one lone jackass doing the same on a remote dirt track as 8 of us charged, had dudes doing all kinds of odd behavior like revving engines, then rolling slowly in front of the chargers, then speeding off. Stupidity is now more expensive for these idiots. Hilarious.

I’m sitting on a couch in a hotel. Dante is curled up next to me. Every so often, a blue mushroom cloud of nuclear fart wafts up and I’m gagging. Little dude, what did you get into?!

View of Seattle from my friend’s porch!
