Okay, fuck the #Apple ordering. both the app and the website—it's just total crap. Current delivery estimate for the Duo is the first week of December. Out of frustration, I placed another order with Media Markt; it currently shows October 24 as the delivery date. I'm curious to see if they can actually meet that.
Fuck image CAPTCHAs, fuck inaccessible forms. Thank god AI at this point.
any recommendations for game sound libraries that won't leave you completely broke? I think https://www.weloveindies.com/en sounds pretty good, specifically looking for magic and fantasy sounds.
got the Mx Keys Mini delivered yesterday. It feels really nice to type on and is truly high-quality for 70 euros. I think this will be my new travel keyboard. Only the Windows pairing mode is absolute crap—when you have to use NVDA object navigation to read the pairing code, you know something is going wrong at Microsoft.
Reputable news podcasts in Germany are claiming that recursive self-improvement for AI models already exists. Sorry, but where's the proof? How can you just put theories like that out there without being able to back them up. This media landscape is seriously fucked up...
I think the decision has been made; it's going to be a Duo. And I suspect it will be my first smartphone without a case, which will feel very strange. But it's the only decision that makes sense for that format.
2300 for the iPhone Duo. You used to be able to buy a car for that. But unfortunately, I'm hooked.
Chill House Live is an awesome station. I really love listening to it while I work. It could very well be AI-generated music, judging by how the voices sound, but the beats just help me unwind.

It's completely insane how much Fable drains the quota; compared to that, Opus and Sonnet are a joke.

A bold prediction: #Microsoft will render itself obsolete within the next ten years. Any company that pursues such a vague business strategy and fails to establish a clear structure in its product lines cannot survive indefinitely in this market.
And that's why I love good ANC headphones—they make the world so wonderfully quiet and much more bearable.
I've uploaded a new update for Flixcast desktop with a built-in auto-updater; it works in both the portable and installer versions:

I stuck a Capri-Sun in the freezer and now I've got it pressed against my back at my desk to keep cool. Modern electricity and freezers are honestly a godsend.
I just can't decide which operating system I prefer. I love browsing on Windows, I love working in the terminal and the responsiveness of Linux, and I love the simplicity and seamless integration with all other systems that Mac OS offers. I'll probably keep switching back and forth between them forever and never be able to fully commit to one of the three.

Wow, cool—I’m now in the Apple Developer Program, and I’m going to see if I can build something good with Swift that’s compatible with VoiceOver. It would be really handy to build my own software that no one else has built exactly the way I need it, or that’s only available in a non-accessible version. Let's see.
