One of the stories I'm most looking forward to is what shriveled white Republican becomes buddies working out in the Senate gym w/@abdulelsayed.bsky.social.

It's official!!!

(Spouse says I have to wait on the champagne until the weekend.)

Here's another profile from that year. Didn't work for Biden but it did this year.

Here's a profile from 2023, when the work to make the NC Blue Wave happen started.

www.nytimes.com/2023/05/04/u...

One of the untold stories of the Blue Wave is how @abreezeclayton.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy started the work of rebuilding the party across the state in 2023, as a 25-year old, by recruiting people who KNEW they were going to lose.

This year, those people won.

This is ABSOLUTELY true.

Jeffries and Schumer's fundraising was absolutely critical to stave off Elon's onslaught. But we have to fix the onslaught problem.

And people who are not Dems would be well served to work on overturning Citizen's United -- even MN supports doing so!!

Note: This happens after Harmeet did NOT participate in some arguably criminal stuff to disenfranchise people like her who are naturalized citizens.

And it comes after the rabid racists said people who look like her don't belong in the US, much less in the Trump admin.

"I’m going to focus on the House because what happens with Chuck Schumer is still in play (and because as a Michigander I’d be perfectly happy if people use the Haley Stevens fiasco as an excuse to challenge him)."

Take a big breath and read Wheeler's smart and nuanced summary, "On Congress".

I wonder. Who is this person posting all the way from Ireland?

A great riff on the continuity between LBJ and James Talarico.

Hakeem Jeffries is not YOUR leader. There are actually people leading the resistance well already.

He is the leader of 255 incoming Members of Congress, more than half of whom are more conservative than you, than me, and even than Hakeem Jeffries.

At some point, Stephen Miller's empowerment of racist and antisemitic leopards will come back to eat his Jewish face.

I don't like that. But I have no doubt it is true.

Also, did Carville try to get Clinton out to Louisiana after the MS stop?

The notion that Trump would get anyone confirmed before January besides someone like Mike Turner seems farcical to me. ANd I repeat my suggestion that the @adamkinzinger.substack.com@bsky.brid.gy types try to suggest someone of that ilk.

www.axios.com/2026/11/05/h...

One thing you get to do when you win a Majority is get WAY MORE $$$. One thing that should do is make it far easier for Dems to explain what they are doing.

If you know someone who'd be perfect to make that happen for Jamie Raskin, send them this.

This is the math that people need to understand: Hakeem Jeffries is actually to the left of half of this (enormous) caucus.

Progressives make up just half of it.
