That handsome stag.

Three good things

Today

1. We managed to trim the claws on all three of our cats which means my back and shoulders and jeans won't be scratched and shredded for a while.

2. We had another visit (seen on the trail cam) from the handsome young stag who has been hanging around at night.
And We didn't catch the bear on the trail cam (that's a good thing, so I guess that makes 4). Uploaded to the first comment.

3. On our walk this afternoon a chipmunk posed nicely for me as long as I wanted, so I took way too many photos.

Yours?

This is what Ping Pong thinks of the day so far...

Actually she was talking to me when I was asking her to pose the other day. You can see that by her wrinkled nose. (Either that or she can't stand my garlic breath! That's entirely possible. )

Have a great Tuesday, friends. If you can.

For #TongueOutTuesday and also for #WhiskersWednesday from the look of those exuberant whiskers.

It's hard to believe that summer really is over. This was taken five years ago. I love seeing those blue toned asters (all the asters, actually) though they indicate the end approaching.

There is still beauty around.

Have a good evening or day or night, friends.

Spore print of an oyster mushroom

I made a spore print of the mushroom to identify it and from the lavender colour of the print, it seems that this is an oyster mushroom.

I will be happy to eat them now as they tick the other id boxes, too.

The spore prints are lovely, I think, almost worth framing if they're made on a better piece of paper.

I don't know about you, but I feel much better on standard time. It certainly suits me.

Happy Monday, friends. Hang in there.

May you find rest tonight

Here, take some flowers because tomorrow is Monday.
So apparently I was allowed to have one extra hour of sleep this morning, but I only had 5 hours of actual sleep. I've been surviving on 4 to 5 hours lately. Maybe chamomile would help.
