Speeding by Vehicles in Great Britain
https://speeding.hasp.ac.uk/
Speeding on British roads continues to be a pressing concern for all. Vehicular speeding is associated with poorer road safety and reduced walkability, making our streets worse places to be. While everyone wants to get somewhere quickly, unsafe speeding can not be the solution.

Why is it that ebikes and scooters are speed limited by law, but motor vehicles are not?

"Three years ago your Dutch counterpart, King Willem-Alexander, stood before an audience of people of colour, many of them my friends. Dressed up like kings and queens, they listened solemnly as he did what you will not and apologised for the role of the Dutch state in enslaving our ancestors, and for the failure of his own family, the house of Orange-Nassau, to act against it."

Profits are stolen wages.
Global oil is subsidized by colonial governments.
This is OUR money.
They’re stealing our future, our earth, and our lives so the imaginary number on their screen goes up.

Luckily for them they have pet politicians so they don't get taxed to hell and backfor the damage their products have wrought on the environment, eh?

As a brief respite from all the awfulness, I found this series of photos strangely heartwarming.

Mirjana Spoljaric, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The I.C.R.C. is a secretive organization that is not well known outside war zones. Unlike the American Red Cross, which deals with blood drives and American disaster relief, the I.C.R.C. is the independent and neutral guardian of the Geneva Conventions

Spoljaric travels to all sides of active war zones — Gaza, Ukraine, Iran — meeting with the heads of governments and armed groups alike.

Of course Trump and the crime organization is making millions $$ from the oil profits resulting from Trump’s war with Iran. These oil firms’ profits are not reducing prices of gasoline or diesel fuel for the average worker.

We can’t even remember to be outraged about the Epstein files. I think we’ll be able to draw a line under it.
