@kathakatze If you have the Stylus browser extension, you can add
:has(> input[type="password"]) {
rotate: -10deg;
}
to every page for a internet-wide password rotation (please don't, this is a very slow CSS rule) - adjust the rotation to your liking :awesome_rotate:
But not every circle is a square, obviously.
Wow, I somehow never knew this.
I had a long run across the previous couple sets, cube, and the beginning of Reality Fracture where my limited win rate dropped from my usual 56%-ish to around 40%, so it's nice to be out of it 🤞
Hooray, I finally cracked Reality Fracture draft 🎉 by following Sierkovitz's advice from the latest LR: card advantage + removal + a repeatable engine = wins. Which I was kind of doing anyway, but I leaned into it especially hard this time.

You don't need "alexa" or "siri" if you have a cat. You can say the cats name and all kinds of things will happen.
Probably not what you want, but it's still a kind of "voice interface"
And you still have a "she who will not be named"
I would like to extend my gratitude to whoever decided to add sealed classes, records, and exhaustiveness-checked switch pattern matching to #Java.
This has enabled me to use the same data-bearing-sum-type pattern that #Rust enums provide.
This feature just saved me a bunch of grief and potential bugs in implementing a state machine in which the states are records with different fields. Common in Rust, but this was hard in Java until now.
Keep up the good work!
what say you?
That's crazy.
Today I learned that a rice cooker works because of a specially designed magnet that loses its magnetism at just over 100C (Curie point).
When you switch it on, a piece of metal sticks to the magnet, completing the circuit and heating on high. Heat stays on high until all of the water is absorbed or boiled off, at which point the temp rapidly climbs and the magnet drops the switch.

I have a large number of Apple Gift cards that were purchased by an older relative in an attempt to pay a nice man from Microsoft back for his help.
We intercepted the process mid-way, which (unfortunately) means she had already BOUGHT all of the non-refundable non-returnable gift cards.
Has anybody had experience selling things like that online? Any recommendations for good sites to use to get rid of these accursed anchors hanging around our necks?
P.P.S. NetBSD is a very small project, it is incredible that it supports as much hardware as it does, even if it might be incomplete (e.g. no hardware acceleration on many recent video cards, or no WiFi 6 support on many laptops that requires a USB dongle), and it is almost definitely worth improving on and appreciating.
Recently, I searched for the possibility to add my Apple TV purchases to Jellyfin. Instead, I found a way to add YouTube videos into Jellyfin.

So many people I've met on the road have told me that they found out about my book tour from me or other folks on the fedi. I think it's partly because so many book-loving people are on Mastodon. But also if you compare Mastodon to places like Bluesky or Insta, the community here has a higher percentage of actual humans vs. bots or operatives.
New release of Vermin! v1.9.1. Supporting Python 3.15 and finally with proper self-doc and PEP 701 f-string detection! Had to combine AST analysis and code heuristics to get it done, because the Python parser doesn't yield enough info. (⌐■_■)
