"Hind Rajab Foundation files UK criminal complaint against Israeli soldier over Gaza war crimes

The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) has filed a criminal complaint with UK authorities against Israeli soldier Lidor Dafna over alleged war crimes, crimes against humanity and acts of genocide committed in the Gaza Strip, Anadolu reports.

The foundation said in a statement Sunday that Dafna, a reservist serving as a D9 armored bulldozer operator in the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade, participated in military operations in Gaza and Lebanon from November 2023 onward.

The foundation said it has reason to believe he is currently in the UK.

The complaint focuses on the destruction of Great Ocean Mills, an industrial flour-producing facility in the Morag Corridor between Khan Younis and Rafah, on May 25, 2025.

According to the foundation, footage posted by Dafna on social media shows a bulldozer demolishing the facility’s wheat silos.

The foundation said Israeli forces subsequently occupied the building, converted it into a military base and reportedly used it to shoot Palestinians seeking food aid at a nearby Gaza Humanitarian Foundation site."

The House Judiciary Committee Democrats have released a trove of evidence
regarding allegations of sexual assault, including a new rape allegation,
against Donald Trump in relation to Jeffrey Epstein
that the lawmakers say has been deliberately covered up by the Department of Justice.

The 50-page report, released Monday,
contains testimony from 11 women who either accuse Trump of rape or sexual assault
or say that they had been offered to Trump for sex by Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell,
with most cases happening in the 1990s.

The accounts were pulled together through interviews conducted by the committee,
as well as FBI records and the portion of the Epstein files that have been released;
the evidence was cross-referenced for timelines and corroboration of testimony between alleged victims.

In all, the evidence sharply contrasts Trump’s claims that he was merely an acquaintance of Epstein,
and instead paints a picture of Trump as a serial sexual assault perpetrator who collaborated closely with Epstein to find and traffic victims.

“These women have spoken to investigators and, in some cases, testified under oath,
yet Trump’s Justice Department has shut down investigations,
deliberately withheld evidence and, through Todd Blanche,
prevented Ghislaine Maxwell from discussing a survivor whose account implicated Trump,”
said the committee’s ranking member,
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland).

“Trump’s Justice Department appears to be covering up these crimes to protect the President.”

Five women said that Trump raped or assaulted them while Epstein was present or was in his company,
as detailed in the report.

The report also reveals, for the first time,
Trump’s alleged rape of Beatrice Keul, who has previously said that Trump groped her.

Seven-year-old Joury Al-Soufi, whose name means “rose,” was killed today by Israeli gunfire that struck her in the neck southwest of Khan Younis.

She joins her father, who had previously been killed by Israel.

The attack on Al-Mawasi also killed Hossam Al-Zamli, 21, and Tamer Snaima, and left dozens injured.

Just for fun: the Moon seen through thin cloud last night, a couple of hours before it was full 🌝

Capturing details on the Moon itself at the same time as the colourful surrounding halo would be extremely challenging, so this is a two image montage, with a longer exposure for the cloud & a shorter one for our satellite.

Both hand-held with my Nikon, so the cloud part is fairly noisy.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today.

Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.

Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too.
