And of course, this does impede their ability to train "AI", yay

Ukraine is striking Yandex's datacenters in Russia, which a lot of services in the country are reliant on, and because of Russia's own version of "digital sovereignty", they have no backup infrastructure abroad.

So, it's being felt via many day to day services, including government services, becoming unreachable, and potentially losing data.

This is a similar situation to the Wildberries warehouses earlier, centralized infrastructure is easy to disrupt with just a few strikes.

So Putin has no good choice here, either way he's fucked. That's not an "if" anymore.

Something I worry about is the substantial chance for Ukraine to become a techno-facsist militarist state after this. They're rubbing shoulders with US big kill tech (Palantir?), and I'm not sure people will know better than to keep allowing it. We'll have to see about that

I'm eagerly waiting for Russia to collapse. From what I've been reading it can happen either next month (very optimistically), or in early 2027, or at any point inbetween.

They now have a dilemma to face: whether to declare a mobilization, or keep going as is. If they decide to start grabbing people off the streets to send to die en masse, the current social and economic instability - already nearly critical - will be seriously amplified.

If they don't they just get beaten back.

If you are being an abusive, belittling, manipulative shit, I will bluntly respond to your rhetorical questions, I will be very frank and a little bitch in turn. My boundaries as a human being are more important than your assertion that I'm supposed to obey your every word.

"You" in this case is more than every other professor in the shithole. No, it wouldn't be any better in any other place, the fascist regime would not allow it.

I'm counting on being able to outlive it, but it may be close

fuck everything, it's back to uni tomorrow. I know the entire system here is rigged around performative clownery, and I know for a fact I stand to gain nothing whatsoever from it but more stress and trauma, it's just a means to delay being murdered in the army really.

As last time I will be trying to just go with the flow, but unlike most people I have a dignity to uphold *and* I do not make exceptions for entitled so-called educators trying to drag me through the mud for kicks, so hello infamy

#catsofmastodon #cats Felt like taking a pic of her. such a precious little one.

It is wrong when Russia does it and it is wrong when Ukraine does it and it is wrong when anyone else does it because slavery is wrong.

If a country wants a human military force so damn much, maybe it should look for willing participants, and pay them a wage, and not count civillians who have their own lives to live as meat for the grinder.

When a government wants to end your life we should be able to agree it is entirely reasonable self-defense to try to avoid that in any way possible.

however righteous the war, there is no excuse to forcibly round up random people into lethal slavery.
I'm pretty sure the practice violates several human rights, not that they care.

The narrative that it is "cowardly" to not want that to happen to you is direct propaganda for institutionalized slavery, nothing less.

meowww

dear god, 31 celsius outside, and that's in the shade. The heat has come for us

holy shit

ohmygosh the yuri!!!

I have no will to actually play the new deltarune, random streamers come in clutch now

I wonder which bubble is going to pop first, the "Russian Federation" bubble or the "AI" bubble. It's gonna be close, and both will bring me immeasurable joy

Wanted to tell my annoying mom "it's called wanting privacy" but unfortunately Russian has no word for "privacy". Fuck this stupid place
