How did I ever withstand sitting in wooden or plastic desk seats as a kid, for hours per day? I sit in a wood seat for an hour now and my back feels like I backpacked 10 miles.

Juniper (June) is a Primary in the Mamyrskit Royal Forces. He's an accomplished warrior with a surprisingly philosophical side. He is a character in my new novel, The Bonding, due out in December. Reserve your copy today at https://aetusart.com/shop/category/books-2?search=bonding

Did you know that I have a wiki for my #worldbuilding of The Avian Age? It's new and improved-- you can actually access it now! It's really sad, but for an unknown amount of time, permissions were broken so that nobody could actually look at it. That's fixed now so check it out! Includes art, #conlang, history, cultural notes, character lists... tons of stuff. #birdsofmastodon #theavianage

Meet Tulivor and Princess Vouli, characters from my Avian Age book series. They are capable warriors, particularly with their bladed helmets and battle claws on. Check it out at https://aetusart.com/avian-age

Filled my first order for gear made with no-kill cactus leather. Seems to tool up fine and be tough. I might try a pair for myself and see how it works if doubled and sewn together too. But it’s pretty convincing as is. #leathercraft #costumefalconry #birdsofmastodon #humaneleather

A happy lil boy surf scoter. Part of a sticker sheet of cute birbs I'm putting together to sell on the website and at cons, so stay tuned for more!

I understand now why every Mac I've ever seen is cluttered with shit on the desktop. They make it so difficult to move files around. It's literally easier to throw them in the trash than just move them to a folder. Gotta copy, paste, go back, remember which things you grabbed, grab them again, move to trash, empty trash. Whyyyy???

I swear my zebra label printer gets more difficult to use with every use. It’s awful. Takes me an hour to print one fucking label dt screwing around with windows and settings. It used to work fine.

The Sky Calls audiobook is out there on many platforms. Most recent discovery was on libro. Check it out:

Someone requested brown leather for some gear so I unrolled this, realized it’s from an elk I shot back in 2002. I was never very serious about hunting, too distracted by birds. That was the one & only big game I killed. She was beautiful. Thank you for the food then & the lovely leather now, many years later 🙏❤️

I spruced up my website a bit today. New Homepage and improved Avian Age info page. Check it out!

I beaked The Bonding: Book Two of the Avian Age over to my awesome bet@ re@der friends. At last, I can take a break. #theavianage #furryfiction #birdsofmastodon

Some #conlang from The Bonding. Hanu was an influential poet of the Rebellion and wrote most of the Song of the Sea, which is mentioned by Pepro in Whiterock. This poem is quoted in The Bonding, so I translated it to Orshzowan also. Enjoy!

in balance, love creates.

I've been giving The Bonding a last, light polish before submitting to bet@-re@ders, test-driving it as it were. So far only minor alterations & I'm happy to say that the feels are still strong, the action engaging, and the spice is still hot, even for me. Can't wait to share it with the world!

I have "finished" editing The Bonding: Book Two of the Avian Age. One more polishing pass and it goes to the beta-readers, which should take me a few days. What is The Avian Age? Have a look at https://aetusart.com/avian-age #theavianage #furryfiction #birdsofmastodon

Some people: “AI-coupled glasses will be a great boon to mankind. At last professionals and ordinary people can access everything they need to know at all times.”

Nobody: “I want my doctor to wear AI-coupled glasses while examining my naked body.”

Another day, another 7k words on The Bonding. It’s at almost 120k. I’m not trying to make it bigger, but I’ve created a monster of a world, a huge cast of birds, and a multithreaded plot that feels like it won’t quit. Almost there though. Then I can sleep again for real.
