Looks like Hurricane Lala will impact me around midnight and continue through most of Sat. #hawaii I have a generator, but I've made some coffee and put it in a thermos so I don't have to do it at 3 a.m.
Can't tell you how happy I am that I took down the big trees around my house last year. Power will probably be out by midnight, lights & lanterns in place.

This is the path of tropical storm Iselle as it passed over Hawaii in 2014.
Tropical storm Lala is set on the same course and will hit Hawai'i Island on Saturday morning.

If we're lucky it'll just be some rain.

Ren Gill has been a very good influence on me.

I'm going to war against the feral pigs that have invaded my yard in #hawaii
Basically I'm just patching holes in the hogwire fence. The problem I think I'll face is that they've learned that if they push hard enough they can force their way in. They are still small and I'm hoping they just won't be able to fit soon.

Windy.com is predicting a storm will hit Hawaii on Friday. Subject to change of course.

Back on my bicycle until the next injury or illness or calamity😃
15k this morning.

Took some time today to clean all of my metal detector batteries. Sanded the contacts and brushed on some de-oxit. Beats paying $175 for a new one!
Also tested my cars alternator with the multimeter and it appears to be good.
Dr this morning said I'm hosting two types of staph infections in a wound on my back and gave me a shitload of antibiotics so I've got that going for me which is nice.
My bills is paid an' I'm gonna sit in the shade and eat ice cream now😎

The battery in my 2022 Honda hrv died yesterday. Installed a new one as soon as I got home and I'll test the alternator this morning.
I can't recall how many batteries I've replaced in my life. Maybe a hundred with all the cars and boats and motorcycles I've worked on. Never had one that required me holding down the radio power button for 2 seconds to clear the anti theft and gps.

It's 4a.m., checking the tides and surf conditions before I go to the beach for some sunrise metal detecting.

I must stay ZERO carb. I cannot eat sugar in moderation. And yes, this goes for fruit and healthy starches.

From windy.com weather prediction has the storm most likely passing just a bit north of the islands as soon as Tuesday morning.
Please be prepared. Your car and all of your gas/propane tanks should be full. Your chainsaws should be tuned up and sharpened. Your generator should be in good condition, dont forget to check the oil.
You should have enough food and water for a minimum of two weeks. Four would be better. And make sure you have enough meds to last.
And help your neighbors. Good luck
