We cannot help but believe that were every law, every title deed, every court, and every police officer or soldier abolished tomorrow with one sweep, we would be better off than now.

🇧🇷 Meta Employees Denounce Interference in Brazilian Elections
"We Meta employees want to build technologies and platforms that millions of people use and enjoy.
The last thing we want is to sit back and watch our employer interfering in the democratic processes of countries like Brazil."

1. If you hear BC Green blaming, tell those losers to fuck right off.
2. It's always ever been Eby's fault, and the centre-right NDPinc. lobbyists who believe above all that they're entitled to people's votes.
3. It's time to build a rigorous ecosocialist BC Green party with principles and goals that are people- and society-focussed.

4. The weak #bcndp official opposition will not be championing any of the excellent policies of the #BCGreens inside this sick, pasty, bigoted legislature:
- they could have enacted any of it while they had a majority
- they aren't #ecosocialists, but centre-right (both) Trudeau style liberals
- they will merely attack the #fascists when they erode civilization, to the point the province existed last week, no better
- for better, we build the BC Greens

Hey, non voters #bcpoli, i hold YOU accountable, too.
Go look in the mirror and tell yourself that your position on not voting in this last election is more important than legitimizing this 💩.

Welcome to the fediverse, Brazilians.
Officer has been suspended for alleged misconduct? Police need to be held to a higher standard! They have the power of the state behind them and they carry loaded firearms and other weapons. I call for mandatory prison time for these kind of offences.
"Sources say he allegedly filmed himself, over the course of more than a year while on duty, humiliating people experiencing homelessness to the point of urinating on them while they slept in the street.
Homelessness and other social ills are created by the government's policies. If the government changed it's policies those social ills could easily disappear.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today.
Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man. Just last month, on Sept. 14, he turned 90, on the same day Brad and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I will always treasure that he and I shared that date.
Walter was more than Chekov. He was a writer, a teacher, a thoughtful man, and a loyal friend. To the fans who loved him for so many years, thank you. He loved you too.
Rest well, my dear friend. Keep navigating a steady course.
– George
