Any typos spotted in this post were rather relieved to look at the news this morning. If typos spotted, they'll be taking a day off to plant a herb garden for the coming summer with a fluffy black cat keeping them company.
#Spotted While Roaming in Aotearoa New Zealand:
Two women (30s?) are having a relaxed chat in the street about world events and miscellaneous whatnot.
Meanwhile their tiny humans (1ish?) are reaching out as FAR from their respective prams as they can to touch fingers.
Gummy grinning at the contact.
Friends made in an instant.
A small human (3?) wearing a unicorn headband is CHARGING headfirst through a park.
Where is she going?
No one knows!
But Small Human Unicorn's gonna get there FAST.
Grandad calling for her to slow down,
But NO!
This unicorn slows down for NO ONE!
A woman (70s?) approaches a friend with a hand-picked bouquet of flowers held together at the bottom with aluminium foil.
She gets a delighted laugh and a hug in return.
Water droplets from the rain outside glistening on the flowers' petals.
A very sausagey and fluffy dog (poodle cross Dachshund cross muppet?) is trotting through a hardware store on spindly little legs.
Doggy grinning at her human (60s?) as he repeatedly says the word "walk." while telling a friend about his current fitness kick.
A tiny human (2?) is approaching a duck pond with absolute determination.
Mum calls out: "Wait for me matey. You don't want to fall in!"
Tiny Human Explorer evaluates this information.
Yes.
Maybe he does need a professional guide.
He holds out his hand expectantly, waiting for Mum to catch up.

We need to stop selling fireworks to the public. My poor dog has been so tolerant of them for the last 6 weeks but it's getting too much for her now.
They go off at random times day and night. There's no way to plan around this. The public cannot be trusted with mini explosive devices.
5. Last, not to bleat around the bush, but if ewe don't mind wool I have your attention, fleece note that

Now all I'm thinking about is cake.
"The Voyager 1 spacecraft, which was designed for a five-year mission to observe Jupiter and Saturn, is about to reach a distance of one light-day from Earth after nearly 50 years in flight."
In the most hilarious irony, Iran caused regime change in the US
I am so disappointed with Labour. Refusing to take in water companies, energy companies, public transport, stop the market in housing, built lots of council housing , transform agriculture to a sustainable provider of food. Take Climate Change seriously. Degrowth is vital, we must destroy racism, misogyny. Our news media is owned by and large by billionaires even the Guardian has well-off writers.
The amazing village of Crovie, built between the base of the cliffs forming the east side of Gamrie Bay on the north Aberdeenshire coast and the sea. The shelf it stands on is so narrow it only has room for a row of cottages and a path. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/gardenstown/crovie/index.html
Rice crispies in Uk no longer to be made with rice grains and will no longer be gluten free. This seems quite a big deal to me. If you have food intolerances or worse. You may have safely eaten these for 50 years and no one reads the ingredients every time

On days when one story¹ hogs the headlines, it's worth looking at the things that get snuck out under cover.
BBC News - No more rice grains in Kellogg's Rice Krispies

I'll say that again: no more RICE grains in RICE Krispies.
¹ well done USA BTW
As you wait to find out
what will happen
in Georgia and Iowa
in Kansas and Maine
in Michigan and Mississippi
in Ohio and Texas,
you should know that
what has happened
in the state of Washington
is that someone
has died of bird flu
after being exposed
to infected cows.

More Danger in the US – CRAIN’S COMMENTS
Action by the Trump administration enables individuals to purchase short barrel weapons (sawed-off shotguns) and silencers without registration. These weapons were banned in 1934 because of, among other things, their use in gang wars. Short-barrel shotguns could be hidden under coats and pulled out in surprise shootings, as depicted in gangster movies of the time. Silencers or noise suppressors are used when you want to fire a…

"We studied 1,584 data centres – and found the buildings full of machines are tied to modest local job growth"
https://theconversation.com/we-studied-1-584-data-centers-and-found-the-buildings-full-of-machines-are-tied-to-modest-local-job-growth-293872
Data centres require enormous investments: land, buildings, computer equipment and power infrastructure. Yet, once they’re up and running, they tend to employ no more than a few dozen people in occupations such as IT technicians, engineers and security guards.
RT: @ZackPolanski It looks like working class Americans are turning out to tell Trump what they think of his racist ICE.
Palantir works for ICE.
It’s a disgrace Labour haven’t booted them out of the NHS.
In Poland, Romania and Germany, the Trump administration is openly supporting pro-Russian and anti-EU parties, some opposed to defense spending. It's as if they wanted to destroy European security https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/11/trump-europe-guilfoyle-afd-meddling/689226/?gift=hVZeG3M9DnxL4CekrWGK3_AEg0z-LmZ7dmkZ063_hhw
It has been 247 days since the Trump administration bombed a primary school in southern Iran, killing 156 civilians, including 120 schoolchildren.
I am presenting the Iranian death toll, because the US has not published findings of an official investigation into what UN investigators call a likely war crime. Trump just denied responsibility, and because Republicans control both chambers, no independent Congressional investigation has been launched.
In the midterms, vote for accountability.
