Not much new in this latest piece about the brave pair attempting to actually play through SPI’s The Campaign for North Africa (although I didn’t realise how much the game had cost them to buy), more of a refresher as they set off on a truly ridiculous gaming journey.
Annoyed about getting stuck in traffic for thirty minutes? Server in a restaurant hasn't taken your order in five long minutes?
Meet the woman who has been stuck on a tiny Pacific island for three years because she can't get a transit visit to go home.
It's not trick or treat!

Fuck yeah, new FAQ-entry dropped:

@Microplastics101 Ha! This reminds me of Kathleen Drew story with regards to seaweed and Japan. I am going to send a network request through LinkedIn.
🛸 "Wait... why is today the first time I am hearing of Mastodon?!" 🤔🪐
My tiny alien brain is officially short-circuiting! I’ve been broadcasting my art and videos out into the cold, algorithmic corporate void of the internet for YEARS just to get crushed by the algorithm... Only to find out there’s a whole cozy, ad-free, human-driven universe over here in the Fediverse?! 💫
WHAAA?!!!
I am confused but highly enthusiastic. :3
If you are new here like me, or just want to adopt a friendly spacey artist into your feed, let’s connect!
🎨 Art is my full-time job, but I also drop daily video shorts, stream gaming shenanigans, and write cozy sci-fi lore!
Please give this a Boost to help a new space-traveling indie creator find her community! 🔄💖

Study looked at the aging of microplastics made of three common polymer chemicals—polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate and polypropylene—to see if they changed as they aged and how that affected nearby contaminants. #microplastics #pollution #interaction #aging https://phys.org/news/2026-10-lab-aged-microplastics-enable-interactions.html

Who is next? Will there be anything left that is not AI?
The assumption that plastic is safe for our bodies just fell apart. A new Nature study from Columbia found that water exposed to microplastics releases reactive oxygen species, chemicals linked to heart disease, atherosclerosis, cancer and Alzheimer’s. “They can, for example, bump into DNA and cause mutations.”
For decades, scientists and companies believed plastic wouldn’t react with our food, water or bodies. Turns out the rest of us were the experiment.

RT: @StoneDunk Neither Cartier-Bresson, Banksy nor Cold War Steve could have come up with such an image. Absolutely perfect composition and lighting (even the road signs are perfect)! 😍
Fans across the world mourn the passing of a true and irreplaceable legend. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Patrick Stewart took the starship Enterprise to places it had never gone before, and he inspired a whole next generation of star-gazers who looked longingly ahead to a brighter future for all humanity. Our hearts are heavy, indeed. Rest in the heavens, Captain.
Perfect day to reshare this great Patrick Stewart bit titled "What Has the ECHR Ever Done for Us?", a brilliant parody of the iconic "What have the Romans ever done for us?" scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian movie.

The destiny of humanity.
“I always have been optimistic about humanity's future. Always. Even at the most dismaying of times.”

Impose cost by moving, the CEO might stop thinking like this when reality hits.
