Tough day here for Mr Pink Beans

I have not slept well in several nights and I am furious to realise the flavoured water drink I grabbed at the train station is caffeinated… just as I finished it, I saw that on the label. Fuuuuuuuck. Like Caffeine is literally one of the top selling points on the label of this raspberry one… which almost looks identical to the strawberry one which has magnesium.

I think I know how billionaires feel. Every day my AIs tell me how smart I am. I think the key difference is I don't believe them.

Someone at Apple should be going “hey team, Ben & Aaron came up with the coolest corner radius animation for asymmetrical displays and the way they’ve layered their UI is fresh and modern but not overbearing” and then $100,000 should just appear in our bank accounts

Edinburgh University students to hold cow-themed anti-cuts rally

Staff and students claim they've been 'treated like cash cows' amid programme closures and staff cuts...

So often I’m dumbfounded by the question: Why men?

Right now, two camps are losing their minds over AI: the Sprinters and the Beachgoers.

The Sprinters are chugging espresso, frantically trying to cash in and build something before the algorithms eat their lunch. The Beachgoers have already thrown their hands up, decided the machines have won, and are ready to fuck off to Tulum to drink margaritas until the singularity hits.

These ladies are sworn enemies turned tired frenemies apparently. At one point, they spent all their energy trying to murder each other. And somehow I now have them both on the couch with me. They hissed a bit when Isobel jumped on my lap, but settled into an uneasy peace. Earlier I was just telling Sybil that they have so much in common if they would just take the time to get to know each other… it’s only been 8 years…

I have come to the conclusion that using a computer too intensely slowly consumes my soul. I am doing good work, but wow does it wipe me out.

Everything related to establishing residency in the NL hangs on this… the records department is working on fixing it… but this adds a few more weeks after 7 weeks of waiting…

I’m having a little nervous breakdown and am going to go dig through the bathroom draw to see if there is a Xanax somewhere in there .

I spent the last 7 weeks getting my birth certificate fixed, a typo where there was a K instead of a C and they have fixed that typo… and RETURNED WITH A NEW TYPO! They replaced the second I with a Y, which is not anywhere in my name, nor was it in anything provided to them.

I don’t want to run a business where my aspiration is to get AI to write a newsletter that sounds like me… I love writing. It is my end career goal. Writing is how I think.

A key feature of any organization with longevity is the ability to both create and dissolve concentrations of power through some (hopefully) non-arbitrary process. Although an arbitrary process will do when no other process is provided.

Individual people are excited by concentrations of power and focus more on creating concentrations than they do on how to undo that concentration.

War can be the most crude means of dissolution. Systems that provide other means of dissolution may avoid war.

I’m trying to find an interesting paragraph, or two, of text to play around with for a school project in Text Remix. It needs to be copyright free. I will use it for non-sense prose, blackout poetry, etc. I’m stumped on something meaningful but fun. Any suggestions?

Mabs Drawlloween Club Day 25: Ghost
Look! A free-floating, full-torso, vaporous apparition. If you don’t get the quote shame on you 👻

Lots of little line work in this one and very happy I managed to pull it off.

So stormy! We walked downtown today, poked around art stores. I bought a book on how to draw cats and we walked back to Statenkwartier. Glad we got out and about before the storm rolled in. Spent a cozy evening reading with Goose.

I just updated my website, because I really do not want you to miss out if you are an iOS developer. Preparing a newsletter send for Monday.

Such endeavours does make for neat little website updates. ;)

Check it on https://appforce1.net

Try that big orange button and get yourself a ticket to Do iOS while you are browsing. (Not sure if Jedi mindtricks is the way to go here... But it never hurts to try. ;) )

https://appforce1.net (Yes, it's all barebones PHP underneath.)

What would you do if you have some time to kill AND a sufficiently capable camera in your hand AND a beautiful graffiti wall AND you’re in the land of two wheels?? I panned for gold and came back home with these. Not too bad eh??
