Good morning!
I wasn’t going to try it, but a local friend asked, so I’m in the midst of reverse engineering that anti-laddering knitting stitch unvented* by mathematicians. I’m pretty sure I’ve worked out how it it’s made on knitting needles, and if I’ve got it right, they’ve independently invented a knitting stitch that already exists. (I don’t think this is comparable to techbros reinventing trains, btw.)
Anyway, I need another cup of tea, and also yarn that isn’t very thin cotton. 🫖🧶
#knitting
*unventing is a term invented by Elizabeth Zimmermann. It describes the fact that multiple people can independently come up with the same techniques without copying other people’s work. This is a thing that happens; I’ve done it myself.
