Someone just asked me why I block some people and don't mute. For me, mute is about when I mostly like someone's content, but for a moment, thye are posting things that are either just not of interest or are just a lot. When you spout rhetoric that goes against everything I believe in, I don't want to chance seeing it. I am a full believer in your feed is what you make of it. Some people come here and feel really low because of the things they read. Most days I don't feel like that. Because over the past few years, I've been fighting to rid my timelines of extremist views, from either side. And if an account does nothing but send hate toward a person instead of disagreement with ideology, I just don't have time for it. And someone said, well, some of the people that repost that you block, you don't always even interact with so why follow them. The reason is, some of them have interesting things to say about tech, music, or something else. It all comes down to how much of their political feed is them reposting stuff or how much is really them. Most of it is just reposting other people's hate.

A pretty imporetant update will be coming to SpeakTab for guitarists. I did not at all like the layout of Musescore, but it does get things like tempo and slides. SpeakTab was missing those. the new update should be up within an hour.

Coming to you from Jaws 2027. Yay. It did not break my Braille connection. And the install didn't take 30 minutes.

THINK once I make sure it's tidy I'll submit the fork of FastSm I made for Android, specifically supporting BRAILLE Sense though I should think the commands would work anywhere. The main difference is just more keyboard commands. I'm dealing with some key handling and jumping issues. Bthose are getting fixed.

I like doing a lot on my Braille Sense. Things don't load as fast as say the computer or phone, but the Braille is more reliable. I'm just irritated I can only make use of the control key. So stupid altogether key emulator and shift seem to do nothing. I've tested it in other Android app and it just is. I have apps I like fine already for some Android things, but they just need more shortcuts for people who aren't using that touchscreen. I wish I had a better Facebook alternative but I don't think Facebook lets you develop like that.

In creating apps for Braille Sense and by extension Android I've noticed that keyboard shortcuts with control work but not the altogether or shift emulation. That is annoying.

What Android masto client are people using? Thought I'd try one on the Braille Sense.

Trying to think of something else fun to build either for Windows or Android or more specific arl Sense 7 and 6 when the version permits. I had upped my plan and have a lot of usage to fill.

heads up. Some people, including myself, are suffering from issues with panning buttonsn ot scrolling on the Braile Sense 7 with IOS 27.2. YOu can do certian things but do not try to pan to read the next part of text. This is a serious bug and has been reported by myself and three times by Selvas tech support. NO response from Apple was forthcoming. So if you're using a 7 and I've even heard something about the Evolve being affected but can't confirm that. This is serious and appalling that Apple seems to care so little about consistent Braille display support. Some people, like myself, run 100 percent Braille only. And for some others, who are deaf-blind, it's not a choice but a necessity.

Speaktab has a free website now with all its gathered links in one place. Some of them link directly to downloads but it's a good place to find any info you need. Feel free to share. It's speaktab.pages.dev It's still a work in progress, but it's pretty complete.

I have no interest in doing a podcast myself or the time for it, but I just thought of a great idea and name for one. I just heard in my head a voice saying So I Built A Thing, as I was contemplating my building of SpeakTab. There are so many wonderful things being developed and no real hub to find all the goodness. I dream of a webpage that hosts them, I'd be open to pay for but not maintain that. I would love to see a podcast where people could really learn about the different options that are out there. Sure. The podcasts are doing that, but it just seems the Ai-c0oding frenzy deserves its own. I don't know.

At this point maybe I should have gotten a BT Speak. I only wanted the Braille Sense because I could use the smart scroll on my phone. And now I can't evenpan on my phone. I'm just so not happy.

That really counfounds me. Why would smart scroll work on my iPhone before and not now. That was honestly one of the main things that prompted me to buy it. Working on the unit is fine, but I wanted it more for on other devices. Very disappointed.

Is it true that the ports on the BT Braille are on the back? That would be a welcome change. The ports on the sides have always annoyed me.

Is the BT Braille slow on the web or to get email or other things/ How does it behave online? I hate slow devices. They've really sped up the Braille Sense 7 so I'm happy about that. But I still would be into the BT Braille, but I need something not sluggish.

So noticing after switching from $100 Codex plan to $200 like with the $100 I was running out of time in two days. With this one, I am at 80 percent of my week left. I thought $200 plan was just twice the $100 plan credits. It feels like more.

Damn! I like the dictation right on the Bt Braille. So other blind people. So what can I tell my husband as to why I need more devices? He doesn't really care, but he will be irritated if I have to return it? I really want to try it.

Those of you building multifaceted long-range vibe coded programs how much has it costs you to build them? This is directed at people who don't have the skills to do their own coding. I mean, coders can chime i too, but i"m just curious. I had the 100 a month plan and i do use it for work tasks too. But I had to reset that in one week three times. So I got the $200 plan. I'm very happpy with what I'm building and I would have paid this much for someone else to build it or more. I've been very rigid and picking apart every little flaw I find, and I'm trying to organize better so I don't run through usage, but I'm also the I've got to fix this right now. And as I'm doing all the debugging myself right now, it becomes a lot. And I hate to spam with updates too, but I also can't stand to leave stale or flawed work. I've decided that once the constant updating stops, it wil have an official 1.0 and new name and its own website.

Okay. I finally feel like this manual doesn't start like the user has used it a million times. So have a looky loo. I have not read it all. If you find something stupid or unclear, tell me, and I'll ream the AI out again.Enjoy Speaktab, music reader and composer for Windows, 166-page manual. No. I odn't expect you to read it all. Lol. https://docs.google.com/document/d/16IEB35Em5NZteaWu_3Rnwed5K5hQWZa8/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=113031228350114680512&rtpof=true&sd=true

Fianlly hope hte documentaiton matches the quality of the program. If it doesn't please let me know. I'm too exhausted to read the whole 166 pages, but I wanted to get the less confusing manuals and the 37 in app tutorials tohlep. There's a command pallate too.
