#Capitalism : the system where people with great skills depend on people with great greed

Italian singer Esdra got one of her songs, her most popular one, flagged by AI for ridiculous reasons.

After 5 years since the release, the song was suddenly unavailable on spotify. After months, an email explained the reason was an AI thought the cover picture wasn't OK. The picture was simply white with two small emojis.

Trikonah means "triangle" in Sanskrit and some other languages from the Indian area

My current #IndieGame project is a variant of #2048 that adds triangles, numbers other than powers of 2, that break down to triangles, and, most importantly, it's not an endless.

Each level has a predefined path, you move on the next step by creating a 16 tile, for example.

Individual levels will be focused on one of the new rules, and series of levels will finish with a "boss stage"

As a dev, the impact of #GenerativeAI #coding at work is very simple: we do more in less time, as clients and bosses now expect us to do big changes in a few days, and ask for more changes every week.

Rather than deciding what they really need and signing a definite project, they now have an overall idea they are still discussing, and sign a vague project that gets defined week by week.

It's getting very easy to see the real relationship between technology and #Productivity . There is no relationship. If you don't adapt, you become less productive simply because your competition can do cheaper prices. If you do adapt, you productivity stays still.

The only real anchor of value is human labour, that's what clients pay for, no matter how fast individual projects and changes are released.

Why would you need a class if all you put in it are static functions?

For those of you who use Telegram and would like to have a pass time, I have made and still manage a little thing

It's a #Telegram bot #idlegame with multiplayer features. Join the community of your faction and produce more money than the others! https://t.me/idlebank_alphabot

It features 6 minigames with various degrees of complexity! I'm playing it with a few very affectionate players, about 5-10 daily players.

No installation required, you just play on the chat with the bot, and an initial tutorial will walk through most things!

Just a friendly reminder

I normally ignore Pavel DuRove's takes, I like what he's done but honestly he's quite a character

But the last take tops it. He states that #DeepSeek is more efficient than #OpenAI chat because Chinese children are educated in a very competitive environment, while the western world decided to make everyone winners, killing young people's interest in competing.

My dear Pavel, the typical competitiveness of many Asian societies has the main effect of stressing people and making most of them feel useless, between hikikomori and even karoshi/guolaosi. Because when 1 in 1000 win, 999 lose, and feel like losers, willing to put their wellbeing at risk in guilt

What OpenAI lacked was the need to be efficient. The high costs of the technology prevented market competition, so why would they lower the costs? If the only measure of success is profit, and nobody is lowering prices, that's when you stop innovating.

Not to mention that the Chinese DeepSeek did something very un-competitive: disclosing more about their technology, for others to improve upon it. And the whole GPT era only started because of very public research, with papers freely readable on arxiv.

It's not competition between individuals' lives that make progress, it's a functioning market without monopolies, and cooperative free movement of information.

I'm trying #pixelfed
https://pixelfed.uno/Agonio

The app isn't the best, and my posts are unlisted for some reason, dunno, I'm open to other alternatives

Sooooo #Facebook and #Instagram introduced unskippable #ads that stop your scroll for 6 seconds

And now Zuckerberg apparently wants to remove #ContentModeration in favour of #CommunityNotes like in X

Remind me of the Instagram alternative please, I'll be moving shortly

Today I released my telegram bot game, an MMO incremental game, as open source with MIT license

It's the 3rd anniversary since I launched it, and I've been managing and updating it ever since, with great joy!

Making smartphone apps with #Python or python-like programming languages

What are your takes on #Kivy and #Flet
And what do you think of using #GodotEngine control functionalities instead? (Using GDscript, which is inspired by python)

Things that interest me as an atheist:
- determinism, chaos, game of life and other proofs that complex patterns can be built using simple rules
- physics, psychology, neuroscience
- definitions of lifeforms, concrete points of view on typically romanticised things
- relationship between society and beliefs, religions
- history of religions, how the principles were taken from one another, how societies shaped around them, religion and power

Things that don't interest me as an atheist:
- making fun of religious people

Yes, religious people can be harmful, but so can be atheists. It's not atheism's role to fix the harm made by religion and the people who excuse their actions through it.
Just like it's religious people's role to be critical about their peers, it's our role to discuss about ourselves, showing that without a god and a book we still work for a greater good, and having fun discussing our different answers to life questions. At least that's why I became an atheist, to be free to discuss them.

#Gaza children killed -> IDF: "Hamas was hiding there"

Some westerners killed -> IDF: "A tragic accident"

I guess Hamas should start hiding in bread.

Remember that time #avatar Aang rewrote history, inventing a story out of thin air using his authority, so that two sibling civilizations could end a useless rivalry based on hatred?

Yeah I'm still conflicted about that
