In case you don’t know, starbase80.wtf is shutting down on short notice! August 25th is now only a few days away!
There is a process to migrate your account to another server, not just who you follow but your followers, filters, blocks, lists etc. (But not your posts)
But it takes a few days to complete, so there is no time to waste!

There is a slim chance that an interested party may be able to save us, but it's slimmer by the day. You need to pick a server and start preparing to migrate your info!
(Or at least back up your data, by downloading everything under "export". & screenshot your followers. You can import the csv files at another account, but followers need the old server to still be alive.)

I got the kittens a rechargable ball that rolls around on its own and everyone's very confused by it. They're playing with it, but they're looking at it like it's doing something insane and inexplicable. It was advertised as exercising their predatory instincts, but prey usually runs *away* from the predator, not just in completely random directions, including very fast directly toward the predator. Maybe "play" is a bit of a strong word. They're following it around and occasionally batting it.

牛来 (roughly translated as “Come here, cow) is probably the wackiest story of “the little movie that could” that I've ever heard. Like the recent unexpected blockbuster Dear You, it made multiple times profit of it's tiny budget. But unlike Dear You, people flocked to it because it's so bad they had to see just how bad 🤣.
I cannot believe that it's also showing in Malaysia lmao.
PS: I frankly think it's the Chinese public’s quiet rebellion against the high budget, capitalists dominated, traffic star-driven c-entertainment industry complex. Like a quiet f**k you to all the movers and shakers of the industry 🫠
PS: They were so tight on budget the cinemas had to make hand drawn posters for it 👇 🤣

Happy 5th Birthday!
I’ve known her for five years and today is the day, Aug. 19, that I think of as her birthday.
She was an egg in a tree stump on a busy Bronx street. Her home colony was massive and at least 4 years old when she emerged from her silk cocoon alongside many other queens and drones. When spring came she flew! And then she tried to found a colony but she was caught by me before she could make her nest.
Since then she has lived in a wooden log with a glass window.

Pretty sure I'm getting fired tomorrow, although I am often incorrect in my certainty. I left a few minutes early today and apparently the bosses were all aflutter about my only having worked 7 hours and 58 minutes. I know they aren't excited to tell me about the title change and pay correction I requested and definitely am not getting, so now I have to drive all the way to work tomorrow so three idiots can tell me why I suck, then I have to drive all the way back home and file discrimination charges and unemployment, and then I have to wait for my unemployment to come back denied, and then I have to write a whole thing about why that's crap, with all the emails I've saved for the last two years, and then I have to wait for the unemployment to come back approved, and through all that I have to keep applying for jobs working for the same three idiots wearing a different hat?
