This is not how resource consumption works. First of all, "consuming" water to cool data centers doesn't destroy the water.

But more importantly, hysterical resource consumption critics conveniently fail to account for resource transportation costs. Deciding NOT to use a resource in location X doesn't magically make it available for use in location Y.
