What’s the Wayland equivalent to test -n "$DISPLAY" to see whether X11 is running?

(Reason I ask: I have this as a quick guard against very user-unfriendly errors from Qt in a script that calls a CLI for KDE. Without $DISPLAY set, the script will refuse to run citing lack of X11. Now, AIUI, Qt/KDE can run with Wayland without X11…)

Lately I've been thinking that "surfing" the internet is gone — you don't browse anymore, you get pushed. The terminal is the one place left that's calm, focused, and weirdly beautiful.

Sadly, from there it goes into an IMHO not useful direction. I’ve followed up hoping to shape it more usefully. I’ve also directed Mayank Bhardwaj, the author, to the Fediverse — there’s lots of crowd over here who think similar.

My backup account is on an IPv6-only instance, and it seems to have federation issues with your instance. It looks like kind.social does have an AAAA RR and the address works (responds to ping and even delivers information via IPv6), but perhaps the backlinks don’t work? My admin @alyx says it might be container networking on your side.

Could you perhaps get that fixed?
