How many times does this need to be said. Resisting arrest is not grounds for being murdered. If you are a cop you should be able engage with difficult situations without murder being your one and only option. It's not justified in any way shape or form.

I’ve been veg my whole life and holy crap am I tired of portabella, eggplant, jackfruit, and other things that have umami and/or vaguely resemble what the chef wants from meat, but don’t provide any actual damn protein.

(Although i also hate lightly sauted flavorless slabs of tofu. But at least i can add hot suce to that.)

People treating this summer's heatwaves as anomalous have their heads buried in (hot) sand;

Those declaring there is nothing we can now do to change course, having previously denied climate change at all, must be ignored

With political will we *can* engineer a Green Transition; we have the technologies, we can find the money, but what we lack is a political class who will show sustained climate leadership!

In case you haven’t thought about this before, your “low support needs” autistic parent, colleague, neighbor,… they HAVE support needs. This label doesn’t mean low compared to your average person, but low relative to folks with Level 2 and Level 3 autism. So please figure out what they need. It might take some time for them to even know - especially if expressing themselves was discouraged for much of their lives up to this point.
