I work in Biotech, and we submitted this patent I was really proud of, it represented novel and important ideas
and the examiner fought us tooth and nail, bringing up all sorts of totally spurious arguments
our next patent, I told my boss, why bother this is so obvious
but the examiner allowed all the claims, even claim 1* with scarcely an argument
*as the saying goes, if the USPTO allows claim 1, then claim 1 wasn't broad enough
