Yeah nah. “No human remains” says the article.
It’s someone’s ‘special doll’

I don't have a ton of faith in humanity, but I do appreciate how we've all decided to side with the whales in the Great Whales vs. Boats War. An orca could literally bite my arm off tomorrow and I would still be team whale.
Civic duty accomplished!

Still fucking furious about this btw. But being home is a nice distraction
Back in Sydney again.
Just watched the “Rain” episode of Bluey and I’m just going to declare it now: ART.
Well you know the people who campaigned for it said “brexit means brexit”. Maybe talk to them. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/aug/10/british-widow-78-told-to-leave-sweden-under-brexit-rules-after-living-there-for-21-years?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
There’s still time. Data could just be relying on flaky records.
35 years ago today, on 6 August 1991, @timbl shared about a project he called WorldWideWeb.
"The WWW project merges the techniques of information retrieval and hypertext to make an easy but powerful global information system... Try it"
https://www.w3.org/People/Berners-Lee/1991/08/art-6487.txt
Thank you Tim and thank you to everyone who has helped make the web an open, powerful global information sharing system for all.

Clearly tonight is eco-vandalism night over on the ol’ Fedi.
Is it weird that eco vandalism is driving me toward a traditionally right-wing position of protectionism over land ownership?
Reading between the lines I’d guess the owner is offshore and not legally reachable?
I’d suggest a minor reform if that’s the case.
You should not be able to buy property in Australia unless your country of residence has an appropriate legal treaty or extradition arrangements that can be employed.
Speaking as someone who owns property in the UK and Australia… I am absolutely fine with this. Seize my property if I hide from legal consequences.
Ok so the gardener has got a beating from the legal system.
What about the owner that organised this?
Were I in charge, there’d be a potential jail term here. Environmental destruction for the sake of some rich arsehole’s “water view” is abhorrent.

Ugh. Think I’m coming down with something. Not great timing given I’m in Melbourne at my old place without proper heating or anything.
Finally I get to mark the fucking thing as sold.
Guaranteed someone will message me about it at like 9pm though.

An article that would not exist in Europe. Well done USA for stimulating the churnalism industry I guess.

The stench of bullshit and marketing with all of these is unbearable.
