Bandsintown.com just offered me the option to be notified if Ozzy plays a show nearby. If I'm near an Ozzy show something has gone terribly wrong with my life.

I was researching my healthcare.gov options for next year - digging into Oscar. My wife's doctor's office told her that Oscar pays for appointments without problems but routinely denies diabetics access to insulin pumps and supplies and that they have had multiple patients give up their pumps and go back to manual shots because their expensive insurance refuses to cover medically necessary supplies.

Digging in more, we discovered that Oscar was started by Joshua Kushner (yes, those Kushners), and investors include the Saudis and Peter Thiel.

So I won't be signing up for their services, but it does shed some light on how Trump's family indirectly benefits every time another insurer drops out of the individual marketplace, making Oscar one of fewer available choices.

It turns out I'm not going to the Jesse Welles concert tonight as he has canceled in solidarity with the workers who are striking, as it's been 18 months since they authorized a union and there is still no contract.

I was a little conflicted but the labor leadership that had stated they didn't expect anyone to skip the concert on their behalf so I was going to go to the show and make sure the Lewis Botanical Garden staff that was working knew I was on their side.

The garden made 2.8 MM in profit last year and the increases requested by staff amount to about $200K annually.

If they aren't settled by the time my membership is up for renewal I won't be renewing.
