Then again I haven't seen many otherwise-sensible folks jump from other platforms in similar cases, so. :\

@jankhambrams I know folks have reasons, and depending on your country it might be the only option available.
I'm just really tired with how much of this shit folks are tolerating and making themselves reliant on these platforms.

And agreed. I think that latter part is what I find frustrating. When folks have options and choose a bad one.

@jankhambrams I think I'm tired of the tribalism around platforms too. Folks shouldn't have to give up their livelihoods because a billionaire has to break their website & fake or funnel rage content for clicks. They should have a right to the site since it's making money off their data.
The problem being that a mass boycott of a service is the most effective solution because it hits ad revenue the hardest.

@batichi I'm with ya there. It's a frustrating situation with the way the various platforms are designed, including I think encouraging that tribalism. I wish folks had some kind of right to the sites for those reasons, too.
