I've been #vegan for 30 years, and #StraightEdge my whole life — though I didn't have a term for it until I was a teenager — so I've done my 10,000 hours in mastering the arts of avoiding, abstaining, declining and asking for alternatives.
Is there a title yet for folks who choose to morally sidestep a certain two-letter-acronym buzzword 2020s technology?

I was 11 years old in Brooklyn on 9/11. The city changed that day, a militarism that never went away. National Guard in the subways, NYPD intelligence, suspicion. That never went away, and overtime its purpose has shifted.
Same agencies created after 9/11 are shooting people in the streets—throwing people in camps. I think that’s what feels so heavy about this 9/11 in particular. That all the while, America still hates New York while using our trama as justification for subjugation.
Man, life before 9/11 really looks idyllic compared to the results. The surveillance, the overt racism, the secret police, the new, psychotic religions and America lashing out at the world like a frightened child. The terrorists are this close to total victory.
“Bring back blogs and zines, but make it Substack”? Not so fast.
Substack may give writers more freedom to cover what they actually care about, but replacing corporate music media with another privately owned platform doesn’t necessarily make journalism more independent. Some thoughts on clickbait, paywalls, unpaid labor, the open web, and maybe why writers deserve better than choosing between corporate dependence and working for free.

When the results come up, click the Search Tools drop-down, on the right just below the Search button. Choose Get RSS Feed, then copy and paste the URL into your #RSS reader.
Reply with the error message it gives you (if any).
For the record, I contacted the library about this a few weeks ago and have been in correspondence since then with their IT Services Director. He agrees with me that it's a problem and has been very helpful and responsive.

Been dealing with this issue recently with my local public library. Their searchable catalog offers an #RSS feed, so I created one which would update each time they acquire a new Blu-ray.
Works in my logged-in browser, but if I supply the URL to Miniflux (or any other reader), access is blocked by #Cloudflare because it doesn't pass Human Verification.
Safeguards are needed to exclude bot crawlers, absolutely. But what good is an RSS feed if it can't be read by an RSS reader?
This video ended after 26 minutes, but I could have watched a few more hours of Nardwuar surprising Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman with The Guess Who ephemera. Canadian treasures!
