... why are the Apple Pay chime and the first two notes of Pokemon RBY "Trainer Appears (Girl)" just the same?

(Still needs more features before I push it up, and really this wants to be like a Godot app with a UI instead of a Python script, but... one step at a time.)

I'm GMing a Lancer TTRPG one-shot for a group of friends soon, and for a one-shot I wanted to do my own maps instead of just the first encounter of one of the (apparently-good!) official campaigns. However, finding a hex battlemap editor proved... challenging.

Short story long, I now have a script that will take in a json/yaml with tile metadata and generate a boring-but-functional battlemap.

(Sample: planned "firing range" map to ensure folks are comfortable with movement, combat, etc.)

Eh? I think the only ones I don't have fully-English metadata for are Shadowbringers and Death Unto Dawn, and even then it's just the album artist, and that was from MusicBrainz.

Taking a book out of @hexephre's book, my own Tomestone recap for DT. I'm surprised they highlighted Cosmic Relics over anything else! https://tomestone.gg/recaps/dawntrail/7202a19ab4e591e6b52b1c96425c5487695c4295956f4fced099ec8b57bd508d

(I had been hoping for more time to consider options between this and Bigscreen, and to absorb reviews...)

The amount of money Omarchy is getting is absolutely insane. The Python Foundation has an annual budget of around $5 million, the Apache Foundation around $3 million. Meanwhile a niche Linux distribution raised $18M in 20 days.

Edit: it's not about a Linux distro. Much as it is not about "fairness in women's sports". Or "ethics in gaming journalism". Or "we need everyone's ids to protect children". These are all pushing fascism. So is this.

Day 2 of this, starting in 5 minutes. We're in the Train Graveyard, let's see if we can stay on the rails today.

With the exception of grinding all the savage glamours out (now that they're unlocked), I've done pretty much all I wanted to do this expansion. Since we know Evercold's raids will be FF7-themed, and I've never gotten past the prologue of that, I'm going to stream a blind playthrough of that, starting tonight and on who-knows-what schedule.

Tim Curry escaped to the one place that hasn’t been corrupted by capitalism.

Like Wile E. Coyote finally catching the Roadrunner, now that I've finished the final stage of the relic weapon quests

... now what do I do? :P

Ten Herculean Tasks for the Warrior of Light #FFXIV
1) Teach Alphinaud and Urianger to swim.

2-10) We don't actually think anyone would be able to successfully complete 1.

Not gonna lie, The Arcadion was perhaps THE strongest 8 man raid series in the whole game, and the fact that Evercold's is just gonna be a FF7 crossover is a little disappointing #ffxiv
