it's been decades since they decided this but it's still silly that if you want a 128x128 pixel bitmap from CreateDIBSection, you have to ask for 128x-128 or windows will assume you mean "upside down"

@GossiTheDog I just did some investigation.

This update adds the Microsoft-Windows-IIS-InetpubFolder-Deployment package, and its single direct dependency Microsoft-Windows-IIS-InetpubFolder which includes a single entry for $(runtime.bootDrive)\inetpub, with itself as the owner, and the security descriptor AdminAll_UsersRead (also specified in that package)

That security descriptor is: creator full control, SYSTEM full control, admins full control, TrustedInstaller full control, users read and execute.

The package Microsoft-Windows-IIS-WebServer-ServerCommon-Package now depends on Microsoft-Windows-IIS-InetpubFolder-Deployment - the name and description being very unhelpful: “Create Inetpub folder.”:

I’m not surprised that the servicing stack apparently doesn’t like it if a directory that is specified as being owned by a package already exists - I assume CBS logs contain an error to that effect.

i've been kind of hooked on listening to podcasts, youtube, music recently but today i just don't want it. i'm realizing it was to drown out all the alarms that are always going off in my brain.

I coded a thing. Been a while.

woke up this morning with brain fog, ate breakfast and just a bit after, my brain cleared completely up. i suddenly could _only_ hear my tinnitus and realized that every yelling inner voice had disappeared.

it's kind of spooky but amazing.
i don't find myself suddenly feeling self hate every few minutes, or feeling like knowing something needs doing making me feel shame.
got to work on a 3d print i want to do (an organizer for the big mess where i keep all my old tax forms).
i went out and shaped and trimmed all the bushes and small trees around the house.
did the dishes.

i've taken more than a week off work and i don't know how long it's been since i felt this way.

recently the test panel in sms 1.1 started working, now i'm continuing working liberating page mapping from the macro-driven dyntrans into templated code in gxemul.

for the first time, the test panel in the original firmware started working.
