My wife: “Exhibit A, your Honor!”

I’m going to have a hard time trying to explain that I went to a work related computer conference. #EuroBSDCon2026 #FreeBeerSD

A remote control and a jukebox. I may accidentally bumped into Lefty’s! Let’s check the toilet graffiti!

I made a publicly available CalDAV calendar for EuroBSDCon 2026.

Can be used with your favourite... caldav supporting...calendar application. (Everyone has one, right?)

There! Fixed it! #Xorg #FreeBSD #XDM #Garfield #Desktop #RunBSD #X11

boot -s, zfs mount -a, zfs set readonly=off zroot, comment out kld_load i915kms from rc.conf, reboot, complete make installworld and etcupgrade, reboot, git pull /usr/ports, pkg delete drm-latest-kmod, portmaster graphics/drm-latest-kmod, enable kld_load i915s in in rc.conf, reboot, did the trick - roughly #FreeBSD #15-STABLE #Solved #KernelPanic

Oh joy! Found a box fresh #EuroBSDcon T-shirt from 2023, which I left in my drawer in Lisboa. Time for a walk! #WalkBSD #RunBSD

In order to enable audio support in a jailed #xrdp desktop, install pulseaudio-module-xrdp package. Viola! Works like a charm with MS Windows RDP app.

Does anyone manage to use the #keyboard media controls in #FreeBSD #Xorg? I have a DasKeyboard with a volume jog that works out of the box on #OpenBSD.

The events seems to be working using xev tester. It regognizes the RaiseVolume and LowerVolume events.

Not sure where to actually start looking for a solution.

For some reason #Slack seized working today, with #Firefox on #OpenBSD 7.7. #Chromium on the other hand worked nicely. Anyone else having issues with Firefox and Slack?

Installed 7.8 on an old 2x4 Xeon machine with a Radeon Nautilus GPU and KDE plasma. No sweat! The iwx0 wifi got an ac connection and managed approx 200Mbps down and 100Mbps up! Why did the Yubikey OTP stop working!? Why Theo! Why! Good grief I’m still in mourning, not even at the acceptance phase even…. #OpenBSD #YubiKey #RunBSD #RuinBSD #Frustration

But removal of #Yubikey OTP functionality in the upcoming 7.8 was real a shit.

It's a paradox that I have to remove #OpenBSD from our list of approved operating systems due to this, while working in the infosec business. #RunBSD #UNIX

Managed to set up my #OpenBSD workstation with a #Logitech USB #webcam and separate audio input / output on onboard snd/0 and usb snd/1. Had to create a little wrapper script to start #Firefox with the necessary env variables to keep things separated, but it worked nicely. How? All because OpenBSD is really well documented! #RunBSD #UNIX #BSD
