I have cancelled my subscription to WashPo over the publisher's decision not to allow an editorial supporting Harris. I feel betrayed.
I am sure I am not alone and that Kagan is not the only editor or columnist to consider resigning. The comments on Lewis's announcement are already at 28k.
Is there a way to find out just how many people have cancelled their subscriptions?
Best balloon drop video clips?
(I saw a good one George Conway posted but couldn't extract it from Threads. Youtube search yielded so-so with audio commentary rather than Beyoncé.)
Still looking for the best designed Harris-Walz merch (and give more to the campaign to compensate).
This is the best I've found so far:
Two arenas at once. This is Harris in Milwaukee last night (where the RNC had their convention). Filled to the rafters.

Best source for Harris–Walz merch (signs, t-shirts, mugs)? The design of the campaign's merch is only so-so.
I'm inclined to buy merch elsewhere and just give more money to the campaign to compensate.
Every word of this. Much needed and eloquently put.

Hi, Marco —
Not sure all instances permit this, but I'm able to do it from zirk.us using Ice Cubes on iOS.

I started an account at BlueSky because so many other academic #philosophers had signed up, but there is even less activity than here.
I'm especially interested in #GreekPhilosophy but also #philosophyofmind and #metaphysics.
Any others out there?
IT'S WORKING, EVERYONE! KEEP GOING!
Excellent column by Dahlia Lithwick on how scandalously corrupt Thomas is.
Of special note, the defense that these gifts had to be hidden to protect his "privacy" (because if people knew a Justice and his wife received them, they might, well, be outraged).

Oh brave new interface, that has such people in it!
I'm a professor of #Philosophy and #Classics at #umich, specializing in Greek and Roman philosophy, esp. the philosophy of mind (#intentionality, #consciousness, #MindBody, #perception). I have published mostly on #Aristotle and the #Stoics, but have interests from #Parmenides and #Gorgias through #Augustine.
I love #BaroqueOpera, #KingCrimson, #Calligraphy (broad edge and #Copperplate), and the game of #Go.
