Youngest Child opted out, but Eldest Child and I enjoyed 'Project Hail Mary'.
Maybe at times I thought was trying a little too hard to be whimsical and entertaining, at the expense of explaining the science concepts a bit better, but by the end I'd say it had won me over.
This why they took away my restaurant license…

I said the CD soundtrack to the 1998 Godzilla film.
Today the kids were ferreting around in my old CDs (again) and found it.
Hopefully this doesn't cause any immediate instances of ill fortune.
Two random things we noticed during our viewing of #TheCrow
1. Eric's fluffy white cat Gabriel survives for a year with no humans feeding them, and still looks imaculate.
2. Beat cop Albrecht has on their couch a basketball and a trombone. I say there's more going on in this guy's life than just hanging out at hotdog stands in the rain.
Good movie!
Still an engaging ride, despite having seen it many times before.
I can't overstate how amazing it looks and how well directed it is.

I'll shout out in advance for Michael Wincott, whose Wikipedia page lists in order that:
1. He's a Canadian actor
2. He has a deep and raspy voice.
May your Wiki page mention how cool your voice is in the second sentence.
He's great in 'The Crow', but also very memorable in 'Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves', 'Alien Resurrection', and (my personal favourite) 'Nope'.

I had this poster on my wall throughout uni and I still think it's awesome.
It is not true that I have been up since 2 AM.
I had a 30 minute nap on the couch around 6:00 AM...
... just shortly before Pippin woke me up whilst attacking the ghosts who live in the walls.
I could do with more sleep.
So to recap…
Loud banging/crackling noise in the roof at about 2 ish last night. Most definitely an electrical fault as it stopped when I switched the mains off.
Current guess is some water got in the roof with that storm the other night. I think the gutters need cleaning cause they overflow.
I can probably wait till tomorrow to get an electrician in, if it means avoiding a public holiday surcharge.
There’s a bit of food in the fridge that might go off. I could always run it over to the kid’s mum’s house.
I need to get some more battery operated torches.
Charged my phone to full using the laptop.
Whilst being up this morning a random cat came and taunted Pippin and I out the front window.
Did the random cat cause the electric fault? Cats can be schemers…
