Dear tech press, stop interviewing CEOs. Like, really. We can live without knowledge of some of the shittiest opinions on the planet right now. Really.

A trans girl training her voice to sound like GlaDOS.

Where are my bright colored RTS games? Most modern ones in the genre are so depressingly realistic visually, I mean it's war in a game, so at least make it a bit entertaining to the eyes!

This hurts, because, it's true: "Silicon Valley will spend millions developing a glove that translates sign language into speech (badly), but they won't spend ten minutes adding Alt-Text to their images. They will build a headset that describes the room to me (poorly), but they won't use semantic HTML headings so I can actually navigate a webpage."

Oh Torvalds should just shut up and switch to #Windows, I mean it's just a tool too and everybody is using it, who need to bother with its ethical and technical issues, that would be stupid isn't it? :neocat_facepalm:

We finished Strange New Worlds season 4 tonight, and yeah, overall it was a great season. The last episode, though Interstellar-tier in terms of wtf? (I mean, yeah, stellar holes & temporal stuff, two things we barely understand irl, of course it's gonna be wtf), left me less on a... disappointed note than the last one of season 3 (even if there's the whole sequence of Pike getting his without accident future which kinda gives him a less grim view of his upcomings, I'm still not over the decision to use the "Chosen One out of the blue" plot to tie in the whole season's story around Batel).

There's some really great Star Trek here, a number of pretty well used winks to others genres and sci-fi/fantasy references, and the build-ups leading to Kirk's Enterprise are pretty well done. The whole "well I guess I'm spending most of my weekends at your place now guys" trick to introduce him as a recurring character befriending everyone and getting him involved without him being in the crew yet works for me.

So yeah, very entertaining season, and can't wait for the 5th and, sadly, final season.

...

One thing bothers me now though.

I so want to see a Starfleet Division 12 show now. Like, Truth Seekers, but in Star Trek universe.😆
