back in the USSR?

I have heard more Michael Jackson in Portugal than I have in the US in at least… 30 years?

I’m sitting at a cute cafe by a sand dune on the coast of Portugal on a beautiful day and two guys next to me are talking about “AI generated merchandise for hyper targeted experiences” and I’ve never wanted anyone to stop talking / spontaneously combust more in my life.

Update on my post from yesterday. I am significantly less measured this time: https://sunshowers.io/posts/anthropic-mononoke-2/

Hot take, the web is dying because people do not respect or even know that information architecture is a thing, and that there are experts in the field.

I opened Carrot weather for the first time in a long while and got a bunch of awards and unlocked a song for the Carrot musical? I get that it's cute but I promptly closed it and went to Hello Weather, which does the one very simple thing I wanted which is labels the extended forecast with the calendar date.

During tonight’s round of Big Walk the phrase “can we solve it with interpretive dance” was uttered and it turns out yes, we could.

One of my favorite features of NaviBeat (https://navibeat.app) are the simple "random album" and "shuffle mix" buttons on the home screen, which are obvious ideas when the app focuses on the music you actually have instead of a radio of what it wants to play for you.

Also today it picked "The Life Aquatic Studio Sessions" by Seu Jorge, pretty good for a random pick.

Hi! Don't give an application access to any combination of your browser/email and the ability to pay for things. That's dumb!

Just saw ghost.io has a few openings posted, not my area but maybe it's someone's in #GetFediHired

Side C of Electric Ladyland is one of best rainy day records:

1. "Rainy Day, Dream Away"
2. "1983....(A Merman I Should Turn to Be)"
3."Moon, Turn the Tides....Gently Gently Away"

My favorite part about the new window manager gestures in iPadOS27 is that I can’t figure out how they work and I can’t figure out if it’s broken or not.
