During her wake, my grandma's surviving siblings took the trip from Davao to Caloocan to stay with us. One of them was the sister my mom and aunts suspected to have put the barang on my grandma. They confronted her, and she vehemently denied the accusations (accdg to their stories to me now).

My self-diagnosing aunt said it was beri-beri, but they refused to get her to a doctor. They kept sending her to an albularyo, until that albularyo told them to get her to the hospital 💀
