When I saw @ryanschultz's article on the new Bigscreen Beyond headset (https://ryanschultz.com/2023/02/13/bigscreen-announces-a-new-virtual-reality-headset-bigscreen-beyond-billed-as-the-worlds-smallest/), the specs didn't look great, and the concept didn't seem like it would land, but after watching Thrillseeker's video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mieWJ9vupqw) I've had to reassess my view.
Thrillseeker helped alpha test it with Bigscreen, and it seems that a lot of the concerns of us VR enthusiasts may be unfounded. Time will tell, though.
I can't see us using it with our VR studio, as we're focused on sharable headsets, but I can see myself and the other dude I run it with buying these as personal headsets.
I haven't been posting much, because I haven't felt the need to.
As awesome as Mastodon is, it's actually a great platform to NOT post to. There's no FOMO, there's no algorithm telling you to "come back" every moment you might think not to, there's just your feed, and your own desire to post.
