Sheffield Code Club (https://codeclub.org/en/clubs/0805e8e5-d7a7-4d81-8be1-0536fc2d7c32) are looking for volunteers to help kids learn to code (otherwise they may not be able to continue).
If you're free Thursday afternoons and fancy helping please get in touch with them.
Boosts would be appreciated.

Petition to sign if you think it would make any difference*

* I sign petitions but rarely expect them to make any difference even if they get a response from 10000 signatures or discussed in parliament on reaching 100000 signatures

Do you use #emacs and #magit or #transient ?
Help one of the stand out #emacs package maintainers and developers by making a donation, no matter how small (ideally recurring).

This seems pernicious, UK Gov bill is seeking to make it illegal to provision VPN services to anyone < 16yrs, and to do so...providers will have to use unregulated age verification services (see https://www.ageverificationfacts.org.uk/).

Start of the year I set myself an arbitrary goal of running 1000km, reached that by end of August so added 500km. Tuesday I passed the 1500km mark.
All runs from not to end of Dec are a bonus.
Enjoying my running usually 10-14km 4 times a week and averaging ~11.50km/h
All tracked using #OpenTracks and logged using @FitTrackee
Enthused with having discovered how easy and cool Emacs' YASnippet package is I wrote a short blog (mainly to help solidify concepts in my own mind and serve as a reference in the future.

No checkboxes for #orgmode it seems.
Was going to create a table with items required for a long-distance hike and wanted to use a table as I want to include weight and keep track of the total as well as tick off things as I am sure I've got them but it's either a list for checkboxes or table for summing. ⚖️
Trying to work out how to add an entry point for a Python package that has <package_name>/__main__.py
Setuptools docs don't mention __main__.py at all

How neat, ProtonMail automatically recognises some, but not all, Markdown and formats text that is marked up with it.

Not quite enought to abandon MarkdownHere yet but a good start, thanks @protonprivacy
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
But I bet they learnt a hell of a lot whilst implementing it....
