It should either be:
"If the windows of perception were cleansed..."
OR
"If the doors of perception were opened..."
My kids used to have this deal whereby I’d pay them 1 cent for each leaf they retrieved from the bottom of the pool.
Later we got a pool cleaning robot (dubbed “suckbot”) and it removed the leaves instead.
So don’t tell me robots won’t replace us. They’ve already stolen my kids’ jobs.

I’ve been following this mushroom murder trial very closely, and am relieved that Erin Patterson was found guilty.

Picking up some stuff from my local grocery store just now and there was a guy who looked exactly like, *and* had the same body language as: Larry David.
I could not take my eyes off this man.

Watching The West Wing, an excellent show from the "before times." It's a remarkable record of optimistic belief in principled candidates and an intelligent populace.
On Season 7, the campaign between Santos (Democrat) and Vinick (Republican).
Both candidates are deeply principled, refusing to exploit opportunities to harm their opponent. Each consistently steers the campaign back to real issues and humanist values.
It's more of a fantasy than Game of Thrones ever was. And it's awesome.
The way technology advances is that someone builds a hack of some kind, let’s call this “a banana” — and then others build further bananas on this banana until the entire banana tower collapses into a mushy layer of decaying banana matter. Fresh banana towers are built on this until they too collapse creating a new layer of congealed banana mash on the compacted banana layers underneath. Over decades this builds a solid banana firmament reaching to banana heaven.
