I accidentally hit return when I was going to look for a config setting for #vim and got this is what the google machine said. Is this supposed to be some sort of joke?

Crap. I guess I really need to stop playing #PokemonGo :-/

This feels like a long shot since I’ve spent an hour scrolling through google images. I am looking for a painting or illustration, possibly from a child’s book or animated movie of a person probably a girl with long black hair wearing all red, holding a sword in her left hand with a mostly white Chinese style dragon with brown antlers swirling around her as she stands on a narrow rocky peak. I saw it in a child’s bedroom in a house I was thinking about buying. EDIT: added a resolution comment.

While I know most of the authors, I wasn't involved in writing "Ten common misconceptions about #Galaxy (and why they are wrong!)." They did a really good job on this, and I have to say, I agree with them!

I find astrophysicists using Galaxy (https://usegalaxy.org) to do astronomical calculations cosmically pleasing.

(Note: Galaxy was originally developed in bioinformatics , but is really a "generic" scientific computational workflow tool.)

And here is a follow up post on the #NWSL, where they congratulate Kingsbury for winning the poll! Is it petty of me to point it out? Maybe, but I’m still stinging from the poor officiating at Saturday’s Wave game

Somebody at #NWSL has a bit of a reading issue. I’m not in Xitter but my daughter sent me this. Here is a poll for best save of the weekend. #KailenSheridan rightfully won (I can tell because I can read) #WaveFC

I generally enjoy the "Behind the Bastards" podcast, and that's still true for the current episode about the terrible people who peddle quack cures for autism. The host's pronunciation of the word "chelation" is driving me bonkers though. The chemical engineer buried deep inside me will apparently never die. #BehindTheBastards

For the first time in what seems like ages, I did something fun today. Went to Palm Springs and saw a pretty waterfall and huge palm tree oasis on reservation land.

For the last month or so, I’ve been doing with mastodon what I used to do with twitter: open it first thing when I wake up (tho doing that with mastodon is a considerably more pleasant experience). Anyway this morning I opened it up and was like “wow, mastodon is very sciency this morning”. I forgot I was browsing #bioinformatics in bed last night and didn’t change back to my home timeline. 😜

Holy cow what a show #eltonjohn #yellowbrickroad
