I think it might be a nice addition to have a second "AI Playthrough": "This is how the AI would have played it if it had started with YOUR starting word".

I cannot believe that Trump would be so naive to think the Iranian regime would simply "capitulate" in response to his threats. Even a "decent' democracy wouldn't simply roll over after such threats, but a regime whose leaders know what will happen when they are toppled will not give up until their shitty palaces crumble to dust around them.

If TACO didn't have the stomach for a real fight he should have stopped rattling that sabre a long time ago.

By the way, don't get me wrong. We can still maintain a friendly relationship with the USA, especially after Trump goes away. But the warm friendship we enjoyed before will be replaced with a cool politeness. The trust will be replaced with a willingness to do deals, but with an insistence on checks and balances to ensure the USA will not renege on them later when, inevitably, its electorate loses its collective mind again.

See, here's the problem: the U.S. electorate voted for Donald Trump in 2016. We, the rest of the world, were then subjected to his capricious insanity for four years. At the end of 2020 they voted him out.

At that point we were willing to consider that this may have been a temporary loss of perspective.

But then they voted for him again.

This proves we cannot trust the USA. And it will take a LOT more than one election for the USA to regain our trust.
