Are there jobs in tech sovereignty? Where do we look for those?

A platform that’s a #federated alternative to office and gdrive would be really cool. Provide free and open source online word and excel alternatives so it’s easy to sign up and switch away.

If I set aside time to help activists and content creators build educational tech tools to improve their message, is that something you’d support on Patreon?

I know exactly what I’d do if I didn’t have the heart condition. And it’s resume my career in coffee or setup a food stall. Or work in a restaurant as a chef.

What are good careers to move into when you’ve been a software engineer and ux designer for 20 years? (Previously systems admin). I have a heart condition so nothing physical sadly.

I am very sad that I ate the last of this today. #Vegan

As you get older your muscles atrophy, as they say use it or lose it. There are many ways to exercise but they require routine, discipline etc. What if your environment forced you to use your body?

I want to get a bar to hang from and something to crawl under 😂

When I bought this flat I decided that it would be an environment that supports a healthy body, not work against one.

So I have a Japanese futon, and sleep on the floor.

I got a floor desk recently so now work at that half the time.

As a result I do multiple squats and lunges every day. And if I shift my body around with my arms they get a workout too.

My posture is getting better. I have muscles on my biceps. Pain I’ve had for years is slowly improving.

I highly recommend sitting and sleeping on the floor!

I’m doing this so that if I’m lucky enough to get old I don’t fall and break a hip.

Who wants me to open a small collocation data center in tower hamlets.

Please let there be 50 of you so I can start an awesome hobby business.

From an accessibility POV what is the best way to have a pop-up like this on screen? I want the user t be aware of it, and able to get to it easily, but it should not steal keyboard input.

I’m moving my hosting away from digital ocean, but as a UK business I want to do this in the EU, otherwise this is the kind of thing that would get me to become a customer.

Nulled (https://nulled.llc) are offering to help out open source projects in place of the Digital Ocean Open Source Credits program.

Love my light laputa theme, great way to start work in the morning.

Remember when clients used to turn you down because their nephew could build it for free? Agentic coding feels like that 1000x over.

A touch more research and I reckon I'll start with Nix on CachyOS. And if I like #NixOS I will try the full OS.

RE: https://tech.lgbt/@rachel/117348782827644153

I think I will try #NixOS, I love the idea of a machine built from configuration, and possibly forking the repo for each hardware.

Given the #framework compatibility list I'm thinking either go mainstream with #Fedora, Go with #Cachy (again) but a different WM, or try out #nixos

Hello world are there any exciting Linux distributions for me to try on my new laptop?

I like tiling window managers and a minimal user interface. I don’t tend to like experiences that are trying to replicate Windows or MacOS too closely and with a million widgets for controlling all the things. A TUI app is fine for most things.

Fast and performant.
