Hypothetical: If an old lady, like my mom, missed the Olympic figure skating yesterday and wanted to watch it today. How would she go about getting a recording of the full program to watch tonight. If she were to get it from a torrent tracker or something like that for local download, what would be the exact steps should would be taking so I could warn her not to go down that route to avoid violating any copyright laws.

I just ordered a brand name one. They are stupid expensive. But I'm on #mastodon, right? Aren't half of you on here because of #linux #printer driver issues and stuff? And the other half are #electronics #hackers? Who wants to see me take apart this toner cartridge and see how/why it (doesn't) work?

Better yet, who already did it?

Who can explain this failure mode?

I don't see any unconnected contacts, loose, bent or covered contacts, etc.

Well, I'm a cheapskate I guess. But wow. I bought the cheap TN229XL capacity $62 "compatible" set of toner for my #brother MFCL3780CDW color laser printer. The yellow ran out and I replaced that. It identified it as non-genuine, fine.
The next day magenta was out. Great. Same thing. Printing was fine.

A week later the Cyan goes out. Replaced that and now it says "one or more toner cartridges are not detected." I tried the stuff the internet suggests. Returned. Replacement cyan has same issue.

I have had several follow me. They don't actually send me a message or try to interact.

I'd love to support Palestinians in need. But it seems like accounts like this are being professionally managed, and misrepresenting what's going on. Once I recognize the deceit in their presentation, why would I trust them with my money?

"running an xfce4-terminal via systemd so that my script will restart if it crashes or closes."

I'm pretty proud of today's update. It takes a bit of magic to have a terminal based program restart itself if it ever crashes. I had been manually running the command when I noticed a crash.

First you need to get python to not crash as best as possible, and to clean up background threads so as to not hang if you do crash.
