I'm grumpy, but I'm not freaking out too hard about Washington State's attempt to erode title 9 and HIPPA, because the state legislature up here is really pretty good at throwing out ballot measures they don't like.
Like, we've had decades of ignoring Tim Eyeman.
Call/text your state rep and bitch them out about this one, absolutely put the pressure on, but also, have faith.
Love to be a shitlib, I am chasing the high of being twitter mutuals with Obama in '08, and I will continue to vote blue no matter who.
Nonetheless, I am taking the moment to, as they say, lib-out.
I really want REALLY want to film a setup about Bellevue, I can grump about the mall, talk about the pedestrian unfriendly super-blocks, and the God awful car culture, biggest bitch fest of all by the Hate Chicken, then, we pan over to the pedestrian overpass by the wilburton station.
Cut to me in the pedestrian overpass.
I'm by the art, talking about how the Eastside has a history of diversity and it's important to not overlook the one good thing about this area.
I want to break down what is happening when someone is experiencing being frozen out in Seattle.
why you need to align your expectations of other people to the culture you're in.
and how you can avoid this by simply not being a psychic vampire or a bad guy from an 80's movie who calls everyone and everything, weird, lame, and gay.
Thinking about making my own video, my darling wife brainstormed the title card:
Title: The Seattle Freeze Isn't Real
(Thumbnail, I am pointing at the camera with X-treme perspective, subtitle "You Are The Problem")
He's talking about speaking to a neighbor in this neighborhood who has several other equally palatial summer homes in other countries.
He's talking about this like "this guy has lost touch with how nice summer is in Seattle" as if that guy is his peer and not a founder at Microsoft.
He's now talking about how the houses on lake Washington are huge and have no people in them, he has chosen to highlight, possibly on accident because it's just very large, The Dinosaur House.

Are we going to talk about how this was built for the CTO of Microsoft? No.
Watching a local YouTuber (white man) bitch about how there's no "community" in Laurelhurst (very rich neighborhood on lake Washington) I think you're just not invited to their country club.
He's mad that the landlord knocked down the house he was renting with his friends to build a lift, but he's also mad that his former neighbors thought his Seafair party was too loud and obnoxious.
Like buddy, pal, they wanted *You* out.
This video smells fashy.
I wore the ears home, so, it's not like they chose to talk to someone who didn't look like a friendly gay dog on the train.
I have acquired, through extensive searching of capitol hill's costume boutiques, a witch hat for my wife and werewolf ears for me.
I want to be clear, I am an extrovert, I had a good time talking with them about whale watching and telling the slightly drunker one that I was going to Redmond like five times. (She kept forgetting)
Correction: God bless and keep blonde white-passing latinas who are day-drunk on public transit during rush hour.
God bless and keep drunk white women.
Moved some lamps around to maximize coziness.
Still can't believe I spent so long with no turtle lamp, I am an adult, I can just buy the lamps I want!
They either need to stop with the "buy five" deals on things I need a chest freezer to store five of, or I need to get a chest freezer and indulge my desire for ~deals~
Having a pantry and being willing to shop like a maniac when there's a deal on things I like, has once again turned my shopping cart into a math problem.
My darling wife has been having fun with her new (old) computer and it is very cute.
I really want to set up a proper computer room/den when we eventually get our own place. It needs wood paneling and shag carpeting. Gonna make a recreation of the living room exhibit at the living computer museum.
Weigh in on the tumblr discourse:
If a child pukes in a large bowl and the bowl is then cleaned, when can it be returned to normal service?
I don't know what they actually expected,
of course this community is gonna feel like being on the suspiciously wealthy side of the fandom should be about commissioning art from other members of the community, and not about buying expensive cars.
