To the surprise of absolutely nobody:
I feel Cal Newport is making a lot of sense here.

Cal Newport: The AI Industry I...

Me: the AI fuckhead doomsday cult is a eugenicist, fascist project.

Normal person: you sound psychotic, Patricia

Curtis Yarvin: hold my beer, we need to build Hitler God.

Teen: What do you think about the ID verification stuff?
Me: I’ve been pissed for a year. I even made memes. I never make memes.

Sonic and Tails Epic Fist Bump

I’m just sayn’, don’t say I didn’t warn y’all.

It’s not my fault people just can’t bring themselves to believe that a whole slew of Silicon Valley Tech Bros are self centered nutjobs.

Before you understand this, which sounds like bullshit, you’ll be unable to actually understand what’s going on with AI.

Before going to a regular dermatologist appointment, I was watching a ton of dermatologist videos (I’m a nerd 🤷🏻‍♀️) so when I got there I told her that basically every condition I had looked at was either made worse by stress or even caused by stress.

She said that was very common.

God, I’m gonna have to live through this madness, aren’t I?

So how long does it take for a population to wake up from a collective psychosis?

Asking for a me.

Jesus Christ, serious people are falling for this narrative.

How did they go from «everything is normal, calm down» to «the computer is plotting to kill us»?

I want us to take these people seriously, not because they’re right (they’re nuts), but because they’re powerful.

These AI company valuations don’t make any sense, they are basically «if we took all jobs». Dude, then nobody has any money to pay for any of the stuff you’re selling.

Usually, Norwegian in movies is terrible, so I was curious about how convincing these Americans were in Brazilian Portuguese.

@jotatx.eurosky.social while I was afk for a week, I watched a bunch of movies, and in one of the Fast and Furious movies they are in Rio and a bunch of American actors that usually do Hispanic roles were speaking Portuguese, and I’m curious: were they any good?

My point is: you don’t have to believe that ChatGPT will go Skynet on us, to believe that these nutjobs will gladly burn down the planet trying to make it happen.

(Some of these factions want to create Good Skynet to fight the Bad Skynet. I’m sorry. I know it’s dumb. It’s not my fault.)

I think it’s very easy to laugh at these people, because they are clearly off their rocker, but I think that is a mistake.

They have been given more money than God and they are spending it to pump infinite amounts of pollution into the atmosphere to chase their goal of creating «god».

RE: https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:ybtyn5l4nljys46ijqtpldaw/post/3mvy53ns44k23

They are trying to quench dissent through their own surveillance tooling and using the extremely corrupt US government to target them.

TL;DR All of the most powerful in US AI companies are in different factions of the same doomsday cult going back almost 2 decades, which of course is fascist and eugenicist.

They believe an AI apocalypse is inevitable, someone will create «god»/AGI. The goal is that it’s them, because reasons.

How did we get here?
Why didn't anyone warn us?
See above and my pinned post.

Sometimes I feel like I live in a world where nothing is considered real or interesting or worth listening to, before a white man says it.

His knowledge or competence is irrelevant. He has the power to define reality solely based on his gender and skin color.

I’ve never been a big weight lifter person, but I assume that it won’t be quite as dramatic once I’m better, because this is ridiculous. Two physiotherapy sessions a week and I’m pretty much useless the rest of the time.

I was gonna fix a bug, but now my brain doesn’t work.

Brain Not Found | No Brain Rea...

Physiotherapy is no joke, my body goes into hibernation mode for days.

- We need to put up your screen saver while we rebuild all this muscle and bone you tore up for no reason. Just lie down and stay quiet. We’re busy.

Now You Will Go To Sleep

Anyone seen stuff like this? Basically an LLM «implementing» something in an over the top verbose way?
