Does anyone have experience in running NixOS on a Framework 13 laptop?

#Framework #Laptop #NixOS

This is like... HAMMERING. In the span of 10 minutes I've already banned 66 and counting IP-addresses exhibiting a particular pattern.

GET request to /packs/* ref url https://swecyb.com/tags/

and one of these user-agents:
"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/131.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"
"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/151.0.0.0 Safari/537.36"

I've noticed significant amount of requests towards the path /packs/*.js files on my Mastodon instance...

What's that about?

#MastoAdmin

@Viss Your talk rocked by the way ;-)

Route taken: Claude Code > OpenCode > PI.

Less really is more. Happy with transition and choice. Mostly running GLM 5.3/Flash and Kimi3 now.

Would have really wished to be able to run more locally, but not there yet.

Let this be your friendly Fediverse reminder to back-the-hell-up your password/keystore and store it in a safe place.

Especially if you #selfhost but also if using cloud services.

Yes, I just had a scare with my VaultWarden / Bitwarden vault... made me realize how fugged I would be should my vault decide to go tits up.

Meanwhile in #Sweden we've had a nutcase running amok in a school killing 1 and injuring 3 more in an attack with a fucking sword.

What. The. Actual. Fuck. Is. Wrong. With. People.

And it unfortunately, and sadly, is not the first time this has happened. I don't even...

I may have ... achived some sort of record. While playing crazy/adventure/mini golf I sprained my right middle finger. Yeah... while playing minigolf.

So apparently the engineers of this course thought it appropriate to build this decline between two courses with a very slippery fake grass... and as the middleaged white male I am, entirely overestimating my abilities at standing and maintaining balance I tripped, slipped and while attempting to do an on-the-fly Bruce-Lee inspired move of attempting a non-planned one finger pushup...

... I apparently overestimated my strength, dexterity and general abilities and landed on my right middle finger, resulting in what I now believe is a sprain.

Hooray. Not. I'm weak... sprained from playing... minigolf. Jesus.

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening fellow fedizens. What's going on? Saturday and the sun is shining, at least here in the northern parts of Europe. Expectations of the coming week is even hotter weather which suggests that the inflatable pool should be ... Inflated.

What will you be doing?

I have begun writing, in earnest, about my experience building a SaaS and about the idea of being an entrepreneur.

First article/blog is about the simple act of... starting and not trying for perfect.

https://cstromblad.com/posts/erfarenheter-fran-att-bygga-en-saas-produkt-och-livet-som-entreprenor/

It's in Swedish but given how easy it is to do machine translation I thought... Meh.

Like this:

Why is the fucking printer discovered three times?!

If there's one thing that absolutely sucks on the Linux Desktop, it's the printing experience.

Choosing quality, previewing print, removing margins, zooming in on image to fit the paper.

It's all an entirely horrible experience and I almost inclined to try and understand where this "printing experience" is located in the GNOME desktop source code and try and rectify it.

But I'm assuming this has likely already been tried, rejected or failed.

Either way I'm left with a frustrating experience trying to get image -> printer -> print out.

I've started experimenting with a broader collection concerning "Breach Events". The idea is to selectively monitor News sources for signs of organizations having suffered some sort of cyber incidents.

Would anyone be interested in having this sort of feed added to ORLYSEC?

Basically something like this:
- Monitor sources tagged 'news'
- Determine if breach related
- Extract victim entity
- Extract origin source

Toot:
Alleged breach involving <entity> originally reported by <origin_source>, and first reported by <news_source>

The idea is to slowly build a set of sources covering global, and eventually also begin to do 'national' events monitoring and reporting.

Yes, no? Pointless?

Amazon TI team does something I have not seen any other team do - provide a validity period for provided IOCs.

That sort of "transparency" of IOCs really should inspire others to do the same.

I friggin LOVE the #fediverse Now that #loops is getting some well deserved traction I can at the comfort of my Mastodon home instance follow accounts I wish to see more of.

I'm not a video creator, but I'm to a certain extent a video consumer and this enables me ... to be just that, in a somewhat defensible way.

@dansup Thank you for making this, for realz.

And I know that it's all because of AP, and hopefully more time and energy will be spent on the foundations that connect us all!

@evan

Here's what I wrote (translated from Swedish to English):

Hey,

I'm fully aware that you receive tons of emails every day, and the likelihood that you'll both read and act on this is small. But I have to try.

You have an account on X, the platform owned by Elon Musk. The platform that spreads child sexual abuse material (CSAM) that fosters far-right views, and that uses algorithms to control the narratives in our society.

Please, leave X.

Instead, create an account on the official Mastodon instance:

https://ec.social-network.europa.eu

It's a democratic platform without algorithms, without investors who own the conversations. It's a platform for citizens, for politicians, for us, together.

Please, come there! And let me know when you've switched, and I promise to follow and say hi! :-)

/ Christoffer

And the first politician has now replied saying that he will "do that very soon".

So one down, hopefully more to follow!

Thank you @leavex or whomever built the leavex.eu website which easily enabled me to contact my political brothers and sisters.

You just empowered me to do something about X. Gratefulness all around!

Here's the privacy policy:

https://policies.songpal.sony.net/headphones/pp/ww/20241001/pp/hpc_pp_ww_en.html

I will read it more carefully now and see if I can justify the invasion ... or if I have (hopefully) misinterpreted the data collected.

@mttaggart I'm guessing you already knew about Headscale but I thought of you when I saw this!

Could I please just get someone to do a resolve of swecyb.com through 86.54.11.1

Does that work for you?
