Best restaurant name of the trip.

Well, that could’ve been the fastest rejection of all time 🙃

lol applying for a job on my holiday. What a time to be alive.

The Ninja museum and ninja truck house here was lots of fun. I also hit 5/7 targets with a shuriken.

Great coffee also found in Nagano. Trip keeps delivering so far. Now we just hope for no bears at Togakushi.

An absolutely awesome first day in Tokyo. Spent a few hours at this awesome place Pixel Labs where you get to customise a Gameboy. It was great, they were super friendly and helpful. If you’re into old video games and Nintendo stuff, huge recommend.

You can’t charge with a power bank on a flight anymore?

I keep on seeing that there is a sale on the Nintendo eshop. I am then always disappointed because I bought my Switch purely to play Nintendo’s games.

Why on earth does Strava need messaging??? I guess it’s a dating app now?

Until next year winter doona, you are now too warm.

If we didn’t have so many ticket inspectors, could public transport be free?

For work I have to build a thing that integrates with Meta/Whatsapp. It has been the worst integration experience I have ever had in 20 years doing this job. I assume that with all the layoffs that no one at Meta looks at this stuff anymore. If I shipped software like this I would be fired, and rightly so. Utterly terrible.

Why all the geese? What did I miss?

Faster today than I was at runaway in May. I want to go under 2:20 in Melbourne in October.

Back on my bullshit today.

Pretty much everytime I use typescript for an “significant” period of time I wonder why the hell people like this.

Tomorrow is gonna be weird.

It’s done. Half marathon is on Sunday. I’ve done 4 in the last 3 years and this is best prepared I’ve felt out of all of them.

One more short easy run to go before the half marathon. 12 months ago I struggled to do more than one km at about 6:35/km pace. Now I expect it to be my race pace over the 21.1km. That’s a pretty good feeling. I’m on the way to that sub 2 hour half marathon.

What a fuckin week
