Nachtrag zu dieser Fahrt: Um 20:44 bekam ich die Meldung, dass Personen bei Hirschberg/Heddesheim im Gleis seien. Als wir (S5) um 20:53 in Neu-Edingen/Friedrichsfeld ankamen, stand seit 23 Minuten eine RB68 (15332) nach Frankfurt auf dem Gleis daneben. Nachdem auch wir etwa 14 Minuten gestanden haben, kam die Ansage, man solle in diesen Zug umsteigen. 10 Sekunden später fuhr die RB68 ab, niemand erreichte diese. Also alle wieder zurück in die S-Bahn, die dann nur bis Heddesheim/Hirschberg fuhr. Die Tf sagte, ihre erlaubte Arbeitszeit sei dann abgelaufen, was mich verwunderte, denn so viel Verspätung hatten wir nicht und sie hätte ja eigentlich noch bis Bensheim fahren müssen. Außerdem sprach der Zugbegleiter immer von einer Störung, mehr wisse er nicht. Warum wird das Personal so schlecht informiert? Die Reisenden schimpften natürlich sofort auf die Bahn, bei der Info zu Personen im Gleis hätten sie das sicher nicht getan. Sie mussten in Heddesheim/Hirschberg etwa 30 Minuten auf die nächste RB in Richtung Frankfurt warten, ich habe mich dort abholen lassen.

Update: still haven't found the heavily pregnant cat (who has probably already had her kittens), but the other cat trapped last Thursday was spayed today...

... and she was trying to be a teen mom —early pregnancy that would have resulted in FIVE more feral cats in a couple months.

So that disaster has been averted. Now we just need to find the other one.

Someone asked earlier if I have a favorite photo in my collection. I'm not certain but I think it might be this one. The light, her face, the way she's supporting the kitten so lovingly. It's definitely a candidate for the cover of the book I fantasize about creating someday.
